Newt x Reader: One Shots

The New Job

Anger pulsed through his veins.

He couldn't believe that she would keep something like this from him.

She promised him, ever since their relationship started, that she wouldn't do this.

"Newt!" Alby called out as he walked to the boy who was pacing back and forth.
"Newt!" He called out again, but he still didn't receive a response.

When Alby was in arms reach, he stopped Newt by the shoulders.
"Newt, you have to calm down! She's doing this for you! She's doing this for us!"

Newt's eyes weren't their usual chocolate brown, they were darker.
"I shucking get that Alby! But she didn't have to hide it from me!"

Alby released his hands from Newt's shoulders, "I'm sorry Newt. But this is exactly why she didn't want to tell you! She knew that you would freak out like this!"

Newt was focused on the ground below him, his mind swarming with so many questions and emotions. He felt like he was going insane.

"Newt..." Alby begins, "take the rest of the day off. I think you really need it."
Newt finally removes his focus from the ground and onto Alby, he nods his head in defeat and walks over to his hammock, where he sleeps for the rest of the day.

"Newt?" She says.

"Newt?" She says again, gently shaking him.

"Newt..." She softly says, "WAKE UP!"

The sudden noise that fills Newt's ears cause him to fall off his hammock and onto the ground. He lays there for a moment, until sitting up and rubbing the back of his head. "Bloody hell."

He then begins to hear laughing next to him, he slowly looks over and sees her.
Alive and happy.

"Y/n!" He jumps up and runs over to her.
She laughs as she is lifted off of her feet and is spun in the air.

Newt slowly lets her down, examining her body for any sign of injury.
"Bloody hell...I can't believe you're here! I was going in-" Newt gets cut off by Y/n.
"Insane! I know, Alby told me everything."

Newt's face begins to heat up, as he is embarrassed for acting out earlier.
"Newt, I am so sorry that I hid this from you! I promise that I won't ever hide anything from you again, and hey! It was okay to act out a little bit! I understand how worried you were.
But look on the bright side! I'm helping us get out of here! I'm helping everyone get out of here!"

No words are able to come out of Newt, all he can do is smile and admire his amazing girlfriend.
"What?" She asks, returning his smile.
"I'm just..I'm just so proud of you!"

Y/n then pulls in Newt for a long and loving kiss, one that will linger forever.

"I love you Newtie."

"I love you too my Love."
