day before thanksgiving

Billie and I have been flirting like crazy over these past few weeks. We also talked. She told me that what Brandon did to her when they were together, really fucked her up and that it's hard to not jump to conclusions. I told her that I'm not him, and that I'll never hurt her like that.

I'm at the studio right now with Lauren. We want to make the last 3 songs of the album today. At least write them and make a melody. We decided to record around christmas time.

I gave Lauren what I had written so far for the first verse.

You always said I was a asshole
And that's so funny cause that's not the truth
I told you that you're being too irrational
Cause baby all I want is you
I never been in love
Never felt so much
Used to feel you on my lips
Now you're in my blood
So if you wonder if this song's about you
Well girl you're probably right I'm still thinkin bout

"I love it. This how you feel about Billie?"

I nod.

What is this girl doing to me?

She shows me what she had to continue.

"This is good. Really good. I also already have an idea for a beat," I turn in my chair to face the sound board.

I take the bass guitar and play chords. I add a bit of regular guitar in. I play it back and add snaps. I play the full thing from the beginning.

"YES! I love it!" Lauren cheers. "Fuck it, I wanna record," she gets into the booth.

We're doing the second to last song right now.

"What if we put 'We driving through the night
I wonder what it's like
I wonder what it's like
To be you
I don't know what it's like
But I feel it in your eyes that
Something's bugging you
Oh yeah

But even on my worst day
It's feelin like my birthday
Girl you know you driving me insane
And even when I do try
It gets to being midnight
I guess we'll drive in circles
Jump the hurdles
Thirsty for the pain
It feel like'?" I harmonize.

"Yes, I love it!" We continue to write the song.

"Now, for the beat," I pull out the keyboard under the soundboard and play some chords.

"Can you go onto the drums and create a beat that can go hand in hand with this one," Lauren nods and goes inside the booth and plays.

~

We recorded that song too. Lauren just wants to get it all over with and I don't blame her. She wants to start putting teasers out.

We're writing the last song now.

"Check this out," I hand Lauren the pad.
