The game had ended announcing that the Bullworth Bulls had made it to their playoffs. Which was a big accomplishment because the Bulls have never made it this far in almost a decade. Alex hopped over the wall. "Aye! Star player!" She smiled and yelled. Ted turned his attention to the small brunette waiting for him like the light at the end of a tunnel. He runs towards her dropping the ball and his helmet, nearly knocking her over. He squeezed her body tightly. "I made it!" He said estatically. "You did!" Alex said. Ted wanted nothing more than to just kiss Alex on this cold, fall night. She was closer to him than ever before. Ted leaned his head into the crook of her neck as he continued to hold her. "You guys have really trained hard." Alex said. "Yeah. But you're the good luck charm." He smiled. The crowd still continued to cheer as the opponents' band played. Confetti flew from the air all around them. "Ok this might sound cheesy as hell, but I'd give anything to kiss you now!" Ted shouted over the blaring trumpets. "Then do it!" Alex yelled back. Ted's lips crashed onto Alex's with one swift movement. She gave him a quick peck and turned to walk away leaving the quarterback wanting more. Heading over to Petey who rubbed his eyes she led him back to the bus. "Aw, lil Pete getting tired are we?" Alex joked while nudging his elbow. He chuckled, "I may be tired but atleast I'm not kissing quarterbacks." He smirked. "Shit I forgot. He has a girlfriend." Alex smacked herself in the forehead for her forgetfulness. She's led a boy on who she can't have. "So stupid," she scoffed. Not wanting to make things awkward, Alex sat in the two seat chair in the back of the bus. She shared her headphones with Petey so they wouldn't be bothered. She eventually fell asleep on the way home. Back on campus, Petey tapped her shoulder and woke her up. He walked her back home and said GoodNight. Alex trudged back up to her room. Her twin and the greaser weren't home, Alex didn't care. She only wished to feel the sweet embrace of her sheets. The next morning, Alex woke up to Cassandra and Johnny unlocking the dorm. Cassandra came in laughing with a cup of coffee one hand and a bag in the other. Her hair was down with her sunglasses on top of her head. "Did you just get back?" Alex sat up. "Sure did, I picked you up a donut." She tossed the bag into Alex's covers. "Oh and that football player is on his way up to see you." She said. Cassandra grabbed her books and left the dorm once more. Ted came in coming to a gorgeous sight. Alex sitting up in her bed. Oversized T-shirt, shorts, and her dark brown hair cascading along her shoulders. She rubbed her eyes, "What are you here for?" She asked while stretching. "I've been wanting to tell you something Alex" he huffed. Alex's stomach became uneasy at the thought of what possible thing could come out of Ted's mouth. "You has me thinking. Maybe Mandy isn't right for me. She's in it for the popularity and status. She doesn't care about football only what others think of her. And so," he paused. "So?" Alex raised an eyebrow. "I broke up with her. For you." He turned to the window and then back at her. Her heart dropped, never has she wanted to be the cause of a fail relationship. But she knew how much Ted really did like her and she liked him too. It just felt forbidden to her. She had been in past relationships with others when she was far too young and immature to say the least. She kicks her legs over the bed and flips her messy hair back. "Look, I came to say. I've like you for sometime now. You're not like other girls around here. You are my number one supporter. And I feel that I don't deserve any of this. I want to do something in return." He huffed as he clutched his hands together behind his back. "Instead of being number 0, can I be your number 1?" He said. Alex was surprised he kept a straight face while speaking. Heaven knows she couldn't. She busted out in laughter clutching her sides. "Stop! I know it's cheesy but I'm trying to be serious." He said with an embarrassed look. "Alright," Alex snickered once more. "On one condition, don't do anything risky without my permission." She smiled. "Fine," Ted said leaning in to hug her. "Ted, let go." She muffled from in between his arms. "Sorry, can't hear you," He said into her neck. "LET GO!" She laughed loudly. Ted crashes onto her bed still clutching her body. "I need to get to class," She said tapping the nape of his neck. "No you don't. I wanna spend some quality time with you," He said. "We can do that when class is over, I promise. Just please let me go." She said. "Give me a reason." He said. "Because you love me," She tan her nail along his hairline and traced. "Damn it," He said standing back on his feet. "Thank you Teddy!" She chimed while skipping to the bathroom. Once she finished getting ready, she grabbed her bags and Ted followed. "Never call me that again.." Ted said throwing his arm over Alex's shoulder.
