  "C'mon, Cream!" You chirped, whistling for the small dog. Creampuff barked happily and ran towards you, tail wagging excitedly. You smiled as she ran down the gravel pathway, and then she leapt into your arms. You giggled and scooped her up, holding her close to your chest as you walked towards Todoroki. You quietly crept up behind him, then suddenly placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Boo!"

Todoroki jumped and turned around, staring at you blankly. "Oh."

You laughed as you set Creampuff on the ground, eyes twinkling with amusement. "What kind of reaction was that? Normally that would've scared the crap out of someone!"

  "I've gotten used to people attempting to scare me. I feel no fear when faced with jumpscares."

  "Man, that sucks! Jumpscares are funny!"

"I guess. Have you ever gotten jumpscared before, L/N?"

"Aah, a couple of times, yeah. They scared the crap out of me." You giggled, sitting on the bench. "By the way, call me Y/N, now. Since we're closer now."

Todoroki made a noise, cheeks slightly flushing. "Are you sure?"

You beamed, nodding. "Yeah!"

The tall boy hummed, a faraway look in his eyes as he gazed out at the other side of the river. "Then I suppose you can call me Shoto."

"Aah, dang, I just thought of a really nice nickname for you!" You exclaimed, leaning back in your seat. Todoroki stared at you blankly, crossing his legs.

"I'm fine with any name as long as it it not 'five weenies'."

"Five weenies?! Where did you get that from?!" You burst out laughing, tears forming in the corners of your eyes. "No! I have a better nickname for you!"

"What is it?" Todoroki inquired, tilting his head. Your laughter died down and you smiled sweetly, closing your eyes.

"Sho-chan!"

  Todoroki's heart throbbed and he let out a small sigh, blushing.

  'Cute. Cute. She's so cute.'

  "Can I call you Sho-chan?" You asked, eyes sparkling. Todoroki snapped out of his trance and nodded eagerly, giving you a thumbs up.

  "Yes."

  You beamed, Creampuff yipping happily below you. "Sho-chan!"

  Todoroki tilted his head. "Yes?"

  "Sho-chan!"

  "Yes?"

  "Shoooo-chaaaan! Shoooo-chaaaan."

  "Yes, Y/N?"

  You hummed in satisfaction, crossing your arms and grinning. "Yep! I like that nickname for you a lot! It fits you!"

  Todoroki blinked, then smiled softly, eyes twinkling. "No one has ever given me such a nice nickname before. Thank you, Y/N."

  "Hey, don't thank me, thank yourself for having such an awesome name!"

  "Shall I give you a nickname as well?"

  You blushed, nodding vigorously. "Yes! I feel like it's unfair if only one of us has a nickname!"

  Todoroki hummed, patting Creampuff's head as he thought. "Let's see...how about..."

  He turned to you, smiling. "...Star?"

  You turned beet red, making a noise of surprise. "S-Star?! Where did that come from?!"

  "You always seem to shine like a star whenever you talk about something. And your eyes...they're always sparkling."

"Wow...Star, huh?" You sighed dreamily, leaning back in your seat. "I like that. Dang, now I kinda feel bad that I didn't give you a better nickname."

"I like the nickname you gave me."

"I like it too, but I feel upstaged by your nickname for me!" You laughed, turning to Todoroki with shining eyes. Todoroki held up Creampuff, expression calm.

"Let's let Creampuff decide whether I should keep the name or not."

You grinned, amusement in your expression. "Alright, sounds good!"

You leaned in closer to Creampuff's face, tapping your nose lightly against hers. "What do you think, Cream? Is Sho-chan a good name for Shoto?"

Creampuff barked happily and licked your nose, making you giggle. You drew back from the small pup, eyes twinkling.

"Sho-chan it is!"
