This book is rated R due to themes of physical, mental, and religious abuse, and some of these are described briefly in what could be graphic or non-graphic detail throughout the story.

(Technically I could put this in NC-17 solely for aberrational behavior, aka, having trauma, PTSD, and/or panic/anxiety attacks, but I didn't feel it was necessary as no other themes occur which would put it into this rating category.)

Please, if you have any triggers relating to the themes in this book, I implore that you stop reading now and seek help if you are currently in a harmful environment.

Call 1-800-799-7233 for the National Domestic Violence Hotline, or if you cannot speak safely, please Text LOVEIS to 1-866-331-9474 or log onto thehotline.org for resources, articles on healthy relationships, defining (partner) abuse, and how to seek help.

Also, for those of you readers who are feeling unsafe at home, please consider calling the National Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-422-4453 or read through NationalSafePlace.org/Abuse where they have detailed information and resources for children, teens, and adults on how to get out of abusive homes or situations.

If you suspect a friend or family member is unsafe at home, school, or work, please offer help and support. If they won't talk with you, ask an adult or authority figure to get involved. Do not put yourself in harm's way.

If none of these options are open to you then please, find the safe place sign -Which I have attached a photo of at the top of this chapter- somewhere in your local area.

Note that these safe place signs may appear different if they are old or in different areas, but they will always say "Safe Place" and will always be yellow in color.

Please take care of yourself and know that there are people in the world who are looking out for you.

As Charles Xavier would say; There is always hope.
