TWENTY - ONE

I'm still shock from what I saw. I harshly throw the remote on the sofa infront of me before I fished out my phone from my pocket and dialled Ian's number.

[Yes, and I'm sorry about that Ace. I just helped your naughty twins.] He blurted.

I groaned in frustration. " Why did you help them?! When did you plan all of this? "

[Actually, after they told me their plans, I disagreed.]

"What's the BUT? "

[BUT, they plead and plead and you know I can't resist them. Even Cj plead with them too.]  He chuckled.

"Then why did you agreed with them?!" I retorted.

[They plead, okay. And they want to surprise you both.]

I rolled my eyes. "Well, you four successfully surprised me! "

I heard him laugh before speaking. [Wait. Where are you? ]

"Company. " I answered." Sinong kasama ng mga anak ko? "

[They're with KC and CJ. Nagpa-iwan ako para mabantayan ko si JJ.]  He answered.

Tiningnan ko ang pinto ng opisina ni Kuya nang bumukas ito. " I'll end this call na, Ian. Bibisitahin nalang namin kayo diyan mamaya, bye." Binaba ko na ang tawag bago salubungin ang bagong dating.

"MARI!! " We hurriedly went into each other's arms and embraced each other.

"Asia! I super missed you! " sabi niya bago humiwalay sa yakap.

"Me too! How are you? Sorry, na abala pa kita sa trabaho mo. " sunod-sunod kong sabi.

She  waved both of her hands. "No! Ano ka ba. Walang masyadong patients ngayon at saka Carlo's there, he can manage. " They're both a successful pediatrician.

Nabaling naman ang mata ko sa batang babae na kasama niya. She looked at me innocently. "You really look like.. " I pointed my index finger at her.

"Carlo. I know, right! " Mari carried her and make the kid kiss my cheeks.

I nodded my head repeatedly. "Yup. " Natawa din kaming pareho bago umupo sa sofa ni Kuya. He's currently attending a meeting.

Nagpahatid ang kambal kanina  kay Ian at KC, ang sabi makikipag-laro lang kay CJ at JJ yun pala may gagawin palang di ko inaasahan. And because I'm bored, I decided to visit Kuya.

"Ilang months na iyan? " tukoy ko sa tiyan niyang medyo may umbok na.

Hinimas niya muna ito bago tumingin sa akin. "Four months na siya pero pinapatigil na ako ni Carlo sa pagtrabaho kapag 5 months na siya."

"Mommy, can I borrow your phone? " I looked at her daughter and smiled. Kinuha naman ni Mari ang cellphone at pinahiram sa anak. As long as I can remember, she turned 5 this year.

"So. " bumaling sa akin si Mari. "How's life in London? "

"Palagi ko siyang iniisip. " I answered honestly.

She sighed. "You know what, Ace? He suffered too. After you left, he's always drunk. He stopped when Trini started to nag at him. " she snorted but I just smiled bitterly. How can I smile genuinely? We suffered because of my stupidity.

"I even shouted at him. Minsan lang yun kaya nilubos ko na. Pinagalitan ko rin siya, naaawa rin kasi ako sa kaniya. Kahit si Carlo at si Rod, hindi alam ang gagawin sa kaniya." She sighed.
