Through the Well

Chapter ~2~

Darkness is all I felt, all I saw, all I tasted, all I felt. Every direction I looked was darkness, no light anywhere. I couldn't see any light. I couldn't sense any auras it felt empty. Emptiness was what scared me, no feelings, no emotions. Emptiness. I felt paralyzed, floating in the darkness.

Suddenly a scene flashed all around me. It was how I died. Another scene of Inuyasha bringing me to Kaede's, tears streaming down his face. Lastly, it was of all my friends crying around my body. Why? Why had I caused them so much pain. I want to see them all again. Inuyasha, Shippo, Miroku, Sango, all of them. I want to make them feel better, I don't want to cause the, pain.

"Inuyasha," I cried.

Please let me see Inuyasha. Please let me see Shippo. Please let me see Miroku and Sango. Please let me see my friends, my family.

"Kagome, I have heard your wishes and will let me see your friends once again," I heard a voice and I turned to see Midoriko.

"Midoriko," I gasped. What was she doing here?

"Kagome, I onced loved someone as much as you love Inuyasha, when I died I was not able to see him once again. I am going to give you the chance to see him once again," Midoriko said, with a small smile on her face.

"Oh Midoriko, thank you," I said, tears streaming down my face.

"You are very welcome Kagome, but remember you will not get this chance again, if something happens," she told me. I nodded understanding. "Now go, Kagome," she whispered.

I felt a jolt go through my body, like I was shocked. I felt my senses come back to me. My hands squeezed into fists and my eyes snapped open. I let out a silent gasp, pain erupted in my chest. I saw the ceiling of Kaede's hut above my head. Turning my head to the left, I saw Inuyasha standing at the entrance of the hut, looking towards the forest. I smiled softly and slowly sat up on of my hands going to my chest as pain erupted in my chest again. Inuyasha's gaze snapped to me, his eye widening, I smiled at him.

"Kagome, you idiot, lay back down," Inuyasha raced over to me, slowly pushing me back to lay down.

"Inuyasha, I'm alright," I said raising me hand to rub his cheek.

"Kagome," Inuyasha whispered, closing his eyes, leaning into my hand.

"I'm here Inuyasha, I'm here," I whispered happily.

"Yes you are," he replied looking into my eyes.

Looking at my hand, I noticed claws replaced my once human finger nails. A cut formed on my thumb as I rubbed my index claw on it. Inuyasha grabbed my thumb and put it to his mouth and licked the blood away. I looked away turning fifty shades of crimson, as he kissed it better.

"Inuyasha, why do I have claws?" I asked looking at them.

"Once I got you back to Kaede, she and Miyoga told me that I could give you my blood, so that it could speed up your healing process. They said it may not work, an if it did you would be turned into a half demon. But since you were already dead, there was a slim to no chance that it would work," Inuyasha said, grabbing my hand.

"Midoriko," I whispered.

Of course, she heard my wishes and with Inuyasha giving me his blood, it gave me a living chance, at living again.

"What?" Inuyasha asked.

"Midoriko, she brought me back. She said she heard my wished, and with the help of your blood I was able to live again," I said happily, a smile spreading on my lips.

Inuyasha smiled, his ears twitching. and hugged me gently, kissing my forehead. Wait, ears, claws.

"Inuyasha, I'm a half demon now am I not?" I asked. He nodded and looked at me pleadingly.

"I know I shouldn't have given you my blood but, I had to. I can't live with out you. I love you, Kagome," he said, his ears drooping, like he thought I was mad.

"Inuyasha, I am not mad. I am happy, I get to live with you forever now," I whispered, twitching his ears.

"Yes, we can live together now," He said smiling.

I leaned up and kissed his lips. He kissed back holding me to his chest.

"I love you," I whispered.

"I love you too," he replied, kissing me.

"Inuyasha do I look different?" I asked, scared what if I look completely different. 

"Not really, you just have silver streaks in your hair, and cute puppy ears on your head," Inuyasha tweaked my ears, it tickled and I giggled. "Also you have claws and fangs," I run my tongue over my teeth feeling sharp tips on my canine teeth.

"I got you something, it will help during battles," Inuyasha said, standing up.

He walked around to my giant yellow backpack and pulled something out. It was green and a white belt hung around where I guess the waist was. He walked back towards me.

"It's a robe of the fire rat, the seamstress had heard of you can wanted to personalize it," He said handing it to me.

"Inuyasha, it's beautiful," I said running my hand over the material. "I love it,"

I heard someone walk in, looking over I saw it was Kaede.

"Kagome, ye are awake," she said shocked.

"Yes, Kaede, I am," I said smiling.

"While I just came in to change your bandages," she said. I then noticed that there was a pull of water in her hand and bandages and towels under her arms.

"Actually, can I do it Kaede?" Inuyasha asked, looking at me as if to ask if it was okay and I nodded.

"Okay Inuyasha, ye may," She said handing him the bowl of water then, the bandages and towel.

I sat my back to Inuyasha, he ran a wash cloth down wound and I would wince once in a while. On my chest between on breast there was a fairly deep gash. It had an angry red colour to it. I knew it would scar. I had wiped my chest of some dry blood and was waiting for Inuyasha to finish. He wrapped a bandage around my chest and back before handing me the robe of the fire rat that he got me. He turned around to allow me to change.

The robe was snug around my chest and waist. The arms and legs were similar to Inuyasha's. It was a nice fit and complimented my skin. Inuyasha turned around once I told him I was finished.

"You look beautiful," he said walking towards me, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Thank you," a blush spread on my face.

Inuyasha leaned down and kissed me deeply, I happily returned it, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"I love you, Kagome," he whispered burring his head in my neck.

"I love you too, Inuyasha," I hugged him close, joyful tears streaming down my face. I finally had my Inuyasha in my arms.
