Through the Well

Chapter ~12~

Inuyasha's POV

"Please be careful, all of ye," Keade says standing at the doorway of her hut.

"We will Kaede," Kagome says giving her a hug before walking over to Sango.

"Inuyasha I need to talk to ye alone for a second," Kaede says ushering me into the hut.

I look back at Kagome. She gives me a questioning look, I just shrug in response and head into the hut. Kaede is standing holding a small canvas bag.

"Inuyasha, this is an herb for Kagome. If she begins to feel any pain or starts to act wierdly like someone is trying to control her, make sure she takes this. It will cause her to relax and pass out," she says handing me the back.

"Okay Kaede, what herbs are in this in, case we run out?" I ask.

"The herb is Foxglove, it smells lik Jasmine and is the colour purple," she informs me, as I put the herb inside my robe of the fire rat.

"Thank you, Kaede," I say walking out of the hut.

I walk out and take Kagome's hand, interlocking our fingers. I smile down at her and kiss the mark that is on her neck. She shivers and I smirk.

"Inuyasha, what did Kaede want to talk to you about?" she asks, her head shifting to the side.

"She was just giving me a herb, so that if you start to feel pain, I can help with it," I say squeezing her hand,

"Inuyasha, I am going to be fine, you don't have to worry," she says and then turns to the group. "Time to leave."

I know Kagome says that she is going to be alright but I just can't help but worry that she is going to start feeling pain during our trip and what if we run out of the her Kaede gave me and we can't find anymore. I can't help but worry about her. I can't lose her. She's my everything, she's my mate, she's my life.

Kagome's POV

I know Inuyasha is worried, I can tell by the look on his face. His lips are in a tight line, his eyes help worry and he had a tight grip on my hand.

The dull throb that was at the back of my head yesterday was stronger and hurt more. I know this is probably from the darkness. I didn't want to worry Inuyasha anymore then he already was. I just put the thought out of my head, and turned towards my friends.

Sango and Miroku were leading the way for once, they were quietly talking, Sango had a small blush on her cheeks but her cheeks were half hidden by her Hiraikotsu.

Doru and Shippo were sleeping on a transformed Kirara.

We had been walking for half the day, the sun was high in the sky and was showing us no mercy to it's heat. I could see a bead of sweat forming on Inuyasha's temple. Throughout the day Inuyasha and I took turns carrying the big yellow monster. He was carrying is right now.   

"Inuyasha, I think it's time we rest to have lunch don't you think?" I ask.

"Alright yeah, I could go for some beef flavoured ramen," he smiles down at me.

"Is that all you think about?" I ask, playfully.

"No I think about you, and I think about kissing you, and I think about you and me the night we mate for the first time," Inuyasha whispers in my ear hotly, before licking the shell of my ear.

"Inuyasha," I gasp a breathy moan. "Don't talk about that around everyone, only when we are alone. And I also think about that," I whisper licking the shell of his ear before running towards Sango and Miroku, to tell them it's time of lunch.

I heard Inuyasha growl and I giggled, swaying my hips once I made it over to Sango and Miroku.

"Hey we're going to stop for lunch," I say. They nodded and I walked over to Kirara. 

"Shippo, Doru time for lunch," I say gently shaking their shoulders.

"Mama, did you say time for lunch?" Shippo asked rubbing his eyes with his tiny fists.

"Yes and if you and Doru finish all your lunch I will give you a special lunch," I say giving them a smile.

I set out the six things of ramen as Inuyasha went to gather fire wood with Miroku and Sango, Doru and Kirara went to gather water for the ramen. 

"Shippo could you grab me the picnic blanket from in my bag?" I ask. He nodded and scampered to my bag.

He brought me the blanket with a little difficulty, and then helped me lay it out for everybody.

A few minutes later everyone is back and I start building the fire with the help of Inuyasha. I grab a small pot from my bag and start to boil the water. I cook the fish Sango brought back for Kirara and give them to her.  

The water is boiled and I poured it into each cup of ramen before adding the season to it. After they are done everyone gladly starts to slurp of their lunch.

Doru sits in Sango's lap teaching her how to use chop sticks, Shippo sits in my lap. I smile and eat my lunch. Inuyasha is obviously the first one to be finished his lunch. Shippo and Doru finished all their lunch and as promised I gave them each mini chocolate bar.

"Inuyasha can you help me clean up?" I ask, he nodded and came over to help me.

As we begun to clean up, my vision be gan to blur, and the throbbing in my head began to increase.

"Inuyasha, help me," I whispered and I started to fall.

"Kagome," Inuyasha says catching me, I saw his worried face and my world went black.
