Through the Well

Chapter ~18~

Inuyasha's POV

After Priestess Kiori left the room I turned to Kagome and pulled her into a hug. I can't believe it, I can't believe she agreed to help us. After all that Kagome has been through, she will be able to get better. I hugged her even tighter and smiling into her hair.

"Mama, are you going to be able to get better now?" Shippo asked jumping into Kagome's arms.

"Yes baby, I'm going to be able to get better, and then we can be a family," she says and kisses his forehead, hugging her tightly to her chest.

An old man, probably the village elder came into the cave. "You will be staying in the guest huts that Priestess Kiori built years ago. Please follow me."

We followed the old man until we come up to a group of small huts. They were cute and cottage like. I could see Inuyasha, Shippo, and I living in one and beginning a family after all this trouble is gone and done with.

"Please make yourselves at home," the old man says and walks toward another group of hut that I was guessing was for villager of the town.

"Shippo do you want to have a sleepover with Miroku and Sango," Kagome asks, kneeling down in front of Shippo. The word sleepover sounds foreign to me.

"Mama what's a sleepover?" Shippo asks.

"Well it's when you sleep at someone else's hut, like tonight if Sango and Miroku are okay with it you can sleep in their hut," Kagome explains looking at Sango and Miroku who nodded. "Plus if you are a good boy for Sango and Miroku I'll..." I didn't hear the rest because Kagome leaned in and whispered quietly into Shippo's ears.

I saw Shippo's face break into the biggest smile I have ever seen. He looks at me, as if asking for permission. I smile and nod my head. Shippo runs over and starts talking Doru ears off and she does the same back to Shippo. I smile and nod to Miroku and Sango in thanks. Kagome does the same as they walk into the hut.

I grab Kagome's hand, leading her into the forest. I wanted to have some alone time, knowing the next couple of days she is going to be in pain. I lean against a tree and make Kagome sit in between my legs. I wrap my arms around her waist, pulling her close.

"Inuyasha, I'm so happy. I know Priestess Kiori is going to be able to help me," she says and looked at me over her shoulder, her gaze showing me how happy she was.

"I'm happy too. I know you are going to live and that we will be able to be together forever. And later on we can have pups of our own," I say rubbing a hand over Kagome's flat stomach just imagining is swollen from a growing child.

"Yeah," Kagome says placing her hands over mine and smiling up at the sky. But seconds later it turned into a frown. "Inuyasha I don't want you to be there tomorrow."

"What? Kagome what are you saying?" I ask shocked. Why doesn't she want me to be there tomorrow?

"I know that the process of purifying the darkness inside me is going to be painful, and I don't want you to see me like that," she whispers and looks into the distance refusing to look at me.

I grip her chin and make her face me. "Kagome I am going to be there no matter what. I know you are going to be in pain and I want to help you get through it," I say, staring into her eyes, making sure my message is getting through her thick skull.

Kagome nodded and gave me a chaste kiss.

We sat there in a peaceful and calming silence, I occasionally kiss her neck and she shivers. Every time she shivers from me kissing her I can't help but imagine but think about her shivering from pleasure as I kiss down her body the night we mate for the first time. Thinking more about what I'll do to her, I feel my little buddy twitch and start to harden.

Kagome must have felt it because she climbed into my lap straddling me. She wrapped her arms around my neck and smiled.

"I love you Inuyasha," she whispers and leans her head on my shoulder.

"I love you too," I whisper back giving her a kiss on the side of the head.

"Inuyasha, I'm ready," I hear her whisper into my neck, giving is a kiss.

I stiffen and pull Kagome from my neck and look her in the eyes. Her cheeks were flushed and she wasn't looking me in the eyes.

"Are you sure Kagome?" I say.

"Yes, Inuyasha. I loved you for so long and I just want to prove to you how much I love you," she says.

"Kagome you have proven you love to me so many times. If you are one hundred percent sure that this is what you want, I'll do it," I say smiling at her.

I lay Kagome on the ground giving her the outside of my robe as a pillow. I lean on top of her and we fall into a passionate kiss. Whispers of love were passed between us. And all through our love making I didn't know where I ended and Kagome started. We became one person and I couldn't be happier.

Kagome's POV

I woke up, wrapped in a cocoon of warmth and love. My head was crooked underneath Inuyasha's chin, our arms wrapped around each other, and our legs tangled. I lean up and kiss Inuyasha chin, Inuyasha cracked his eyes open and smiled.

"Good morning," I whisper.

"Good morning my mate," he whispers back and I blush thinking about last night. I'm officially his mate.

"We should head back to the others, everyone probably worried," I say and I begin to stand up and gather my clothes.

I heard Inuyasha whistle behind me, I turned around and look at him. He smirks and continues to stare at me.

"Stop that," I say teasingly and start putting on my clothes.

"You know I'm just appreciating how beautiful you are," Inuyasha says and begins to put on his clothes.

I grab his hand once we are done getting dressed. We walk back to the guest huts and I see Doru and Shippo playing outside together. Shippo and turns and sees us and comes running.

"Mama, Papa," Shippo yells and hops into our arms giving us each a big hug.

"Hi baby did you have fun with Miroku and Sango?" I ask.

"Yes, Miroku and Sango let me and Doru stay up late," he whispers. "I wasn't supposed to tell you."

"And were you a good boy for Miroku and Sango?" Inuyasha asks.

"Yes Papa, I was on my best behaviour," he says.

I turn when I hear a person walk up. Priestess Kiori is standing there, looking at us. I feel my heart start beating faster knowing that it is time. Time to get rid of the darkness inside me. Inuyasha grips my hand reassuring me that he is there for me. I smile at him and walk towards Priestess Kiori and prepare myself for the pain that is to come.
