Third Person POV: Isle
Ben and Blaise are on Uma's ship, tied to two masts, Harry Hook is rubbing his hook against Ben's chin. Ben looks to Harry in annoyance.
"How's it feel being a king now, eh?" Harry asks. Ben doesn't respond, Harry goes around the other side of him and goes to taunt Blaise. "What about yeh? Being Royal Advisor and all." He then goes in between them to taunt them some more.
"Give it a rest, Harry. Give it a rest." Uma says. Pushing Harry away. "We don't want damaged goods."
"You said that I could hook them." Harry says, holding his hook towards the boys.
"I said at noon." Uma replies. Harry takes out his pocket watch and holds it in front of Ben.
"Twenty more minutes." Harry says. Ben reads the watch.
"That says 11:30." Ben replies.
"You better hope your girlfriends come through." Uma says.
"She's not my girlfriend anymore." Ben and Blaise reply.
"Leave us alone, Harry." Uma says to Harry. Harry goes up to Blaise this time.
"Nineteen more minutes to go now." Harry says, showing the watch- 11:31.
"Go." Uma says. Harry then leaves.
"I get that you don't deserve this." Ben says to Uma.
"This." Uma says laughing. "This island is a prison, thanks to your father. And don't pretend to be looking out for me because no one's looking out for me. It's just me."
"So, this isn't your mum's plan?" Ben asks. Uma scoffs.
"Isn't that her necklace?" Blaise asks.
"My mum doesn't care about me either." Uma replies. "Well, not unless she needs someone for the night shift."
"Ouch." Ben replies.
"I don't need your pity." Uma snaps.
"No, you certainly don't. You're very resourceful." Ben replies. "I don't see you tied up."
"Alright." Uma says with a small laugh. "So, lets trash talk Mal."
"I'd rather talk about you." Ben replies.
"Mmm, funny and a gentleman. I really hope I don't have to feed you to the fishes." Uma replies.
"Oh, you don't. Set us free and we'll go back together." Ben says. Uma turns to face him, after looking away.
"Oh, so now I get an invite? Gee, I wonder why." Uma replies. "When you brought Mal, Evie, Carlos, Grace and Jay to Auradon, that's the maddest I've ever been, and trust me, I've been plenty mad."
"I never thought about it like that before, that I could've hurt the people I didn't pick. The plan was to start with five kids and bring more people over. I guess I was busy being king." Ben replies. "That sounds lame. I'm so sorry. You're a leader, Uma. So am I. Come to Auradon and be a part of the solution."
"Me? Part of your solution?" Uma asks, she stays quiet for a while then leans towards Ben. "Nah. I don't need you, I'm gonna get there on my own."
"But we can help you get over there." Blaise says.
"You've got nothing to offer me. The only thing I know for sure about you, is that you're a horrible person to my little sister. And that makes me mad." Uma replies.
"Little sister?" Ben asks.
"Family isn't by blood. Grace is as much my family as Gil and Harry." Uma replies. "And recently you've been horrible to her. I can't wait to feed you to the fishes. Harry." Uma says, before calling him over. She then holds out her necklace. "Let's see what this puppy can do."
Ben looks to Blaise to see him looking down to the floor.
"She's right, you know. You've been snapping at Grace all over the place since your date. If it's about the magic, then I understand- I mean Mal's been doing the same- but I think your reaction has been a little extreme. After all, she was doing what she thought was best." Ben says to him.
"She lied to me, Ben. I don't care what her intentions were, she still did it." Blaise replies.
"Her intentions were to stop an argument happening. And after seeing your reaction, I don't blame her at all." Ben replies. Blaise looked to his older twin, feeling a little disheartened that he would disagree with him. Ben noticed the look. "Think about it in a different way. She's grown up in this life for 16 years, it's been filled with lies. But not in the way that's deceitful. She's had to lie about who she truly is to her father because she wanted to escape a beating. She's had to lie to Carlos, Mal, Jay and Evie because she didn't want them knowing how damaged she is. She's had to lie to you because she didn't want you to become another person in her life that's disappointed in her. She's had her reasons for everything, and compared with what they could have been, they're good reasons. I don't think you should be punishing her just because she didn't tell you about her magic. After all, magic is associated with the bad, I guess that's why you snapped. But then you've got to remember, we've been relying on Fairy Godmother's magic all this time, it's no different with Grace's." Ben then looked away from his brother, and Blaise looked out to the sea. He hated the guilt he was feeling, he wanted to make things right.
