Finding Yourself ~ A descendants story

Lonnie's Coming

Grace's POV:

"Hey, buddy." Carlos says to Dude as he runs up to us. He then picks him up. "Sorry I'm so late, Dude. Ben got captured." We then went to walk in, but ay stops us.

"Why's our door open?" Jay asks. We go into the door way to see Chad using their 3D printer.

"You've got to be kidding me." Carlos says. Chad's head snaps around to face us.

"I knocked." He says. Carlos puts Dude down and then holds out his hand to Chad. Chad rummages in his pocket and brings out a key to their room. He puts it in Carlos' hand.

"What is that?" I ask. He turns and grabs something from the printer.

"Oh. That's a little Chad action figure. Minus the head." Chad says, showing us it.

"Sounds like an improvement." I say.

"Excuse me." Carlos says, pushing Chad out the way. He then pulls out his phone and programmes the wand to print.

"Why are you guys making Fairy Godmother's wand?" Chad asks. We then snap up and face him.

"Uh, why are we making Fairy Godmother's wand?" Carlos says stalling.

"Because, uh..." Jay says, trying to come up with something.

"Dress up party." I say, at the same time dude says "Ben and Blaise have been captured." We all snap round to face him.

"What? Dude can talk?" Chad asks.

"Dude, we were stalling." I say to him.

"I just thought you forgot." Dude defends himself.

"Don't tell anyone." Jay orders, hitting Chad. "Ben and Blaise's lives depend on it."

"Really? So, if something were to happen to them, you know what I'm saying." Chad says.

"Something bad, we get it." Carlos says.

"God forbid. But if something were to happen, who do you think would be in line to be King?" Chad asks, pointing to his action figure.

"Is it me or is that in really poor taste." Jay replies. Jay then gestures to the door.

"I'm taking this." Chad says about his action figure. He then goes to say something but Jay slams the door in his face.

"Thank you, Jay." Carlos says.

"Yes." Jay says. And then Carlos makes the printer start printing the wand. The boys then get a seat and prepare to wait for the printer.

"Mind if I lay on your bed? We should get some sleep before tomorrow." I say to them. They nod and I walk over to Carlos' bed.  Once I get comfy, I look over to see they've both fallen asleep. Dude jumps up onto the bed besides me and snuggles next to me.  I drift off into a peaceful sleep to the rhythmic sound of Dude's purrs.

I wake up to the feeling of Dude moving around. I open my eyes to see the printer is still printing, but almost finished. I climb out of bed and make my way back to my room, where I change my outfit. As I do I turn to be faced with a determined looking Lonnie. 

"Hey." I greet.

"I'm coming with you." She replies. 

"I never doubted you would." I reply with a smile. She smiles back and pulls me in for a hug. 

"We should probably bring some swords." She says and I nod. 

"Meet us out the front in ten?" I suggest. She nods and goes to collect the swords. I shake my head and then make my way back to Carlos and Jay's room. 

Once I get there the wand has finished, but the boys are still sleeping. I reach over them and grab the wand, holding it in my hand.

"Wow, this feels really real." I comment loudly. At this they both jump awake and go to defend the wand. I laugh at their faces. "Well, let's go!" I say. Jay takes the wand from me, and we all make our way to the door.

"Hey, guys, what about me?" Dude asks from the bed.

"No, Dude. You stay, I'm serious, Dude. Stay." Carlos orders. Dude whines and sits down. "I love you, buddy. We'll be back before you know it." As we make it to the entrance, we look to see it's still dark out. As we go towards where the car is, Doug comes up to us. I take the wand and hide it behind my back.

"Hey, have you seen Evie?" He asks us.

"Uh, she went camping." Carlos comes out with, making me hold back some laughter.

"Evie 'I wanna live in a castle' sleeping on the ground with no place to plug in a hairdryer?" Doug asks, not believing.

"You know how spontaneous she is, bro." Carlos replies.

Totally, totally." Jay backs-up. We start walking backwards.

"Later, Doug." I say, and then we turn around to come face-to-face with Lonnie. Holding a bag pull of swords. I smile to her with a nod.

"I'm coming with you guys." Lonnie states.

"What? We don't need swords at the... Waffle-hut." Jay comes out with, making me actually laugh.

"You're going to the Isle to rescue Ben and Blaise." She says. They look to her in confusion. "It's either you take me, or I'm gonna have to tell Fairy Godmother." The boys nod to each other, and she squeals on excitement. She then puts an arm around my shoulder as we walk to the car.

"Wait you've changed your outfit." Jay says, looking to my outfit. "When did you change?"

"While you guys were sleeping." I reply.

"Did you sleep at all?" Carlos asks.

"Yeah, for like one hour." I say.

"Maybe you should-" Carlos starts, but I cut him off.

"I'm not staying." I reply. 

"Right, come on then." Lonnie says as we get closer to the car. Climbing in, Carlos and I in the black, we make our way back to the Isle.
