AMELIA MILEV IS not well-liked anywhere in the wizarding world. People think she's dangerous, mean and rude, so as a result, they avoid her like the plague. She's made one friend in her three years at Hogwarts, not counting the two teachers that actually like her—pretend one of them is not friends with her mam. The other ninety-nine per cent of the school think that Millie is going to kill them. Genuinely. People actually think that if they get on her bad side she'll kill them. Like, if she does, it won't be on purpose, for Angelov's sake!
While, at first glance, she doesn't look like it, Amelia 'Millie' Milev, is a Veela. All the boys are in love with her and she can cut you faster than you can say, Nikolina Angelov. The biggest thing that people don't realize about teen Veela is that they don't purposefully attack people. Just like any teenage girl, Veela are really emotional, but then make boys fall in love with them and talons sharper than a knife and it's ten times worse. If Millie gets too angry she tries and tries to stop herself, but it's practically impossible. Give her three minutes and she's not even in control of her own Harpy-like body. It's terrible, absolutely horrid. Then, she gets all the blame for something she can't even control yet. It's silly.
Of course, being part Egyptian helps a lot. She's not got the stereotypical Veela look like her mam, Emiliya, whom she's named after, or her best friend Claire, a quarter-Veela of Bulgarian descent. She looks more like her other mam, Zara, a rare breed of Arabic Veela. So, when you first walk into a room with her the only thing that could possibly give her away is the automatic attraction or the fact that when she gets angry she turns into a monster. Don't worry it terrifies Millie too.
