THE GRYFFINDOR TABLE seems even more excited than yesterday this morning as Millie walks into the Great Hall. Today's the first Hogsmeade trip since the Christmas break and everyone is happy to get away from the castle. But Millie does not share similar feelings about the trip. She is being forced to go with Hermione, Ron, and Harry. While this might have been exciting to her a week ago, today Millie would rather gouge her eyes out. She won't though, it's only a figure of speech.

Ever since their strange kiss, Harry and Millie haven't had the best relationship. Harry tries his best to ignore her while Millie tends to avoid him because she's scared she'll start crying if she thinks about him too much. They're friendly, but everyone on Earth can tell that they don't want to be.

Like today. Harry looks up at Millie as she sits down near him and tries to smile.

He mutters out, "Hey, Millie."

Then, with no hesitation, an awkward silence immediately settles on the Gryffindor table. Even random first-years that aren't privy to the ongoings of Harry and Amelia's relationship, seem to notice the awkwardness.

"Oh. Hi, Harry." The boy is barely looking up from his cereal, instead, he looks as if he's debating whether he should eat it. An act much more important than looking at Millie. "You alright?"

"Yep." He turns away, almost automatically, starting to chat with Seamus and Dean, leaving Millie to sit there, alone, feeling like the biggest idiot in the school. Probably because she is. No one else would just stand there while their crush kisses them. She's the only person stupid enough to do that.

With the lonely feeling building up inside her, Millie turns around on the bench, trying to look at Claire who's sat across the room at the Ravenclaw table. She frowns at the blonde, not sure how to contact her. She doesn't want to sit here with Harry, feeling stupid, but she doesn't want to awkwardly get up and walk to the Ravenclaw table. There's no good option. If she gets up, to Millie, it's like she's giving up on her and Harry's friendship, but she doesn't want that. She wants it to be how it was before.
