THERE IS NO such thing as a good person. Millie learned this four years ago, a month into her time at Hogwarts. She knows that someone can be kind, but still not be a kind person. It's just how people were created. No one's just one thing. It's just like how Millie is a Veela, making her short-tempered and kind of a bitch, but she's also sweet and caring. She can hold a grudge but she's also able to forgive. This realization has allowed Millie to understand people's actions better. When someone ignores her they're not rude they're just scared. If someone comes up to her while she's just eating lunch and starts calling her nasty names, they're rude, but also, they've most likely gone through something to make them like that. It could be trauma or just the way they were raised, it doesn't matter what, it matters that there are two sides to everything.
Side note, Millie was terrified after the world cup when she and Claire were running through the woods trying to get back to their portkey. When there were people being levitated through the air and tents being lit on fire. But, to continue, Millie wasn't confused when the dark mark was shot into the air like Claire or Zara because she understands that the Death Eaters are still out there, with or without you-know-who. That's what she calls the rule of twos. It's helped her understand everything, from the way people act to the way they make decisions. But one thing that she's never noticed it in is herself.
But anyways, because of the attack, Claire, Zara, and Millie are back at the Halton Beach House with Emily. The sun is shining through the stained glass door in the Milev's kitchen while Zara makes the girls pancakes for their last day of the summer holidays. The U.K. is going through a heatwave so it's quite hot, at least hot for the northeast. Millie's sitting at the little breakfast table in the kitchen with Claire. They have a fan blowing on them, blowing their pyjamas back and forth along with the plants that are sitting on the window sill, soaking up the sun. The Beatles is playing softly next to Zara while she cooks and everything is calm. All Millie can think about is how she has one more calm day until she has to go back to being Amelia Milev, the Veela.
