What everyone says about Amelia Milev isn't true. She's not some dangerous, I'm going to attack you if you talk to me, type person. Sometimes she is, but that's not something she can control... you can't control what's in your blood.

HOW IS IT that everyone else in the entire school, loves Moody's class? There should be at least a handful of students that don't like Defence this year, but it doesn't seem like it. Plus, Millie's especially dreading this now that she knows what type of teacher Moody is. The scary kind. Maybe he'll talk about something more light-hearted today, like pixies. Much less dark and scary than how to kill someone.
So as Millie walks to the Defence classroom she is silent, she tries to ignore the kids pushing past her, going at a much faster pace while they chat with their friends. The speed creates a breeze on her legs where she was too sleepy to put on tights this morning. Millie barely walks through the door before there are a few eyes on her, but the curly-haired girl ignores them.
The Defence room is almost completely silent, while the noise is similar to the first class, there's a weird feeling, it's sort of creepy mixed with excitement except there's a soft undertone of scared. Millie doesn't like it... it gives her a first day of class vibe except when everyone says the teacher is terrible.
She sits down in her chair just as Professor Moody stomps in, his eye darting around the room as soon as he gets one step in. While Millie is trying to be optimistic, the teacher's presence just makes her feel sick, like any second she's gonna vom in the bin. Then, when Moody announces that he'll be putting the Imperius Curse on each of them, Millie's stomach drops. She's in no way excited for this, she's completely terrified.
"But- but you said it's illegal, professor," says Hermione as Moody clears the desks away with a flick of his wand so there's a large empty spot in the centre of the room. The mood of the room has gone from soft undertones of scared to the equivalent of everyone screaming at the top of their lungs. "You said- to use it on humans was-"
"Dumbledore wants you taught what it feels like," Moody interrupts, his terrifying glare stopping on Hermione. "If you'd rather learn the hard way—when someone's putting it on you so they can control you completely—fine by me. You're excused. Off you go."
