The Dinner🍽

A few seconds after Kevin spoke, a light flashed coming into the driveway. Some Of the lights flashed on me as the car turned in. I knew exactly who it was. It was Jalen. My biggest concern right now was that Kelly and Kevin didn't see me. Jalen approached me gradually. When he noticed me i stayed silent. I was facing the direction of Kevin's house and he turned that way is well.

"Well well well....What going on here ?" he asked. I didn't want him to be an annoying prick and ask louder so i told him that Kelly was claiming to be pregnant. For some reason my response pissed him off and he still decided to be a condescending prick anyways and shouts, "WOW ! Kelly ! Your sneaky little boyfriend got you pregnant huh ?" while walking over to them.

"Snea-sneaky?" She asked. Kevin knit his eyebrows at jalen. I'm positive the reason was because Kevin clearly just saw him pull up so how did he even know what they were fussing about. "Stay the fuck out of my conversation this has nothing to do with you." kevin grunts.

"I'm just saying man...congrats !" jalen replied with a cough. I dropped my shoes and sprinted across the lawn, grabbing a hold of jalen's arm. "I'm so sorry for his inappropriate behavior. Umm.. yeah..congrats you two! I'm so happy for you two." i exclaimed nervously. I didn't really mean what i said...i just wanted to get out of there. I tugged one Jalen's coat to single him to come on.

Kevin and Kelly remained silent. Kelly smiled and Kevin was furious. He devilishly stared at me and didn't say a word. "this is exciting news is it not ?" i tried to make light of the situation but Kevin wasn't giving in. His dangerous stare never broke from me.

"Isn't it !" Kelly shouted , clapping her hands. Kevin still stared while jalen and Kelly shared a few laughs. "What's even more funny is that weren't even trying for a baby." she stated. She turned to Kevin and said "But it just happened." , holding both her hands together and then twirling her straightened hair with  her fingers.

Kevin still remained quiet. He didn't like jalen and jalen didn't like him neither. When Kelly said what she said i could tell Kevin wanted to say something but i assume he didn't say anything just so that jalen wouldn't be in his business. He murderously glanced at Jalen and then back to me. He looked so dangerous right now and it scared me.

I didn't want a baby with jalen and i'm sure Kevin didn't want a kid with Kelly neither. We were both in the most toxic relationships ever. who would want to be permanently stuck in that kind of situation?

"We're going to dinner at La Rouge !" Kelly yelped. Kevin exhaled really deep. I know he was trying to calm down. She must've planned the dinner without the both of them actually planning this dinner. She was the only happy one right now.

"Wowww that's um....good to know!" i said with a fake smile. That's the same restaurant I've wanted to go to for months and Jalen would never take me.

"Come." Kevin demanded. He never took his eyes off of mine. Jalen instantly got agitated when he noticed Kevin and i staring at each other. "We have plans." he said. I broke my concentration on Kevin and disagreed. Did this idiot think i forgot the stunt he pulled this morning ??? "Umm no WE don't." i rebutted. Jalen turned towards me and made his face up at me. I didn't care at all.

"What ? You don't think it would be fun to go to dinner with KEVIN and Kelly ?" i asked him. "I think it will be. " i said smirking at Kevin quickly before looking back at jalen. Kevin finally smirked and said "Great." before walking away in the house and slamming the door leaving Kelly outside with us. I turned to walk away and go in the house right after.

Jalen walks in after me a few minutes later. "Y/N ?!" he yells.

"What do you want now ?" i answered. Jalen crosses his arms. "I don't want you going to dinner. Not while he's there." he says. I know he was annoyed by his facial expression and demeanor. i didn't care at all though.
