Dirty tissues, trust issues
Glasses on the sink, they didn't fix you
Lonely pillows in a strangers bed
Little voices in my head
Secret keeping, stop the bleeding
Lost a little weight because I wasn't eating
All the songs that I can't listen to, to tell the truth

(flashback)
"Papa!" i yell into the fire "Papa, can you hear me?"
no response. then i hear a scream.
"Jenna!" i scream for my older sister
"Jenna, can you hear me???"
i cannot move. i'm paralysed.
"i'm sorry, papa" i sob "i'm so sorry. this is my fault. papa, please"
"Mimi, mon cherie, don't blame yourself for this. i love you, i will always..."
those are the last words i hear from my father before the fire engulfs him and my older sister.
"NOOO!" i scream into the darkness, tears running down my face.
i look down at my hands. this is my fault. i let them die. i am the cause for their demise.
i am a killer.

i gasp as i wake up.

in my 19 years of living i'd never think i would've seen someone so beautiful like this girl. her eyes a deep green, hauntingly beautiful  and a contrast to her chocolate hair and tan skin. shes a vision. but something in my gut tells me there's more, she's more than just a pretty face.
when she collapsed in my arms i saw the mask break. she's an angel with broken wings. a delicate flower with withered petals.
which is why i'm sitting here at the hospital where i ran to with her in tow. besides me, the chairs are filled with who i assume, is her family. a tall woman with black hair muttering into her cellphone, a girl who looks oddly similar to the one who is currently in a hospital room and another girl with honey hair.

as if on cue, Honey hair looks at me suspiciously.
"Why do you look so familiar?" she asks, upfront and direct
i shrug in response and the doctor bursts through the door.
"she's up but there's some news i'm afraid you won't like"

Hesitation, awkward conversation
Running on low expectation
Every siren that I was ignoring
I'm payin' for it
