"Can i please have an espresso?" i nod, not taking my eyes off the counter.
it's been one week since my twin yelled at me and no one has been in contact with her since. she left Mom a vague note about going out of town for cooling off and also telling us not to contact her.
i feel Espresso dude staring at me and i look up, about to tell him off.
big mistake.
i stare right into the blue green eyes of that Greek God like guy in whose arms i had collapsed.
"oh..hi, you" i say and mentally slap myself.
hi,you? that's the best you can come up with? small talk much? oof, Nae has gone a bit cray.
"hey" he smiles warmly and blatantly ignoring my shitty attempt to make conversation with someone as hot as him.
"i didn't catch your name the other day" he says and i smile. his personality might be as good looking as his face.
"Naomi" i hold out my hand for him to shake.
"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl" he shakes my hand and i feel tingles erupt throughout my arm. he stares at our joined hands for a second.
"i'm erick" he finally says.
and the cogs in my brain click.
"Hold up...Erick Brian Colon? From CNCO?" i say. he nods and my mouth falls open.
"No way! i love you guys! your music kinda.." i swallow down the pain "helped me through a dark time"
he nods "i get it. it's like we're all screwed up and sometimes music helps us. it's..." he sighs as if stopping to think for a second.
"calming" we both say at the same time and our eyes lock for a second. i could stare into his eyes for a whole damn lifetime.
"but anyway" he motions to the clock "when does your shift get over?"
"in about 2 hours"
"perfect. i'll be waiting"
and with those parting words, he's off.
i touch my lips and realise something
this is the most i've smiled ever since the incident.
