The sunlight peeked through the gap in between the curtains as I opened my eyes, finding myself in an unfamiliar place. It took a few seconds until I remembered that I was at Jimin's place. I was on the couch, wrapped in a thick blanket, and it was so comfortable that I didn't want to get up. Looking around, Jimin was nowhere to be found.
I took my phone from the coffee table and found nothing but a text from Yeoji. It was actually from last night but I never got to read it. Her text read; "Yunseo-ah, I told your parents you were sleeping over at my house. I also told the professor that you were sick today. Go to school tomorrow, Soo and I miss you treating us." I smiled at the text and stood up, looking around for Jimin.
He came out of the bathroom in casual clothes, hair wet and disheveled. Isn't this the guy who sang me to sleep last night? What a nice view. "You're up. Take a shower, I'll drive you to your house so you can pick up your stuff and then go to school." I wasn't really in the mood to mingle with other people yet, but I had nothing else to do anyway so I agreed to go to school today.
Jimin dropped by my house as I took a quick run inside, only grabbing my backpack that was still sitting in the couch. My parents weren't there, which was slightly good because I don't want to cross paths with them right now. Seeing me probably stings their eyes, until now. After I had picked up my bag, Jimin dropped me at the univeristy, securing me a 'good luck' chant that motivated me in a certain way. Nevertheless, I was really, really thankful that he took me in yesterday. I was really miserable during those moments.

"It's okay, they'll get over it. It's not like I failed an exam," I joked as we walked our way out of the univeristy after class had ended, but Yeoji looked extremely unamused. She looked at me with a 'seriously' look and shook her head. "Kim Yunseo, you're unbelievable."
"What's going on there?" I uttered as I saw a bunch of girls swooning around some random guy. There weren't too many of them and it wasn't as crazy as seeing a celebrity, though. Walking closer, Yeoji gasped and grabbed a hold of my arm, "Yaaaah! I'm so jealous!"
I looked at her in disorient, not sure what she meant by that. As we got closer, I realized that it wasn't just some random guy. It was Jimin. Our eyes met and he gave me a smile. I instantly felt like we switched places — I was no longer the one chasing him around and proclaiming I was his girlfriend.
"Guess I should go now," Yeoji teased, patting my shoulder as she sprinted away yelling "That's my friend!" as she pointed at me. I chuckled, watching her strod into the distance as I stood in front of Jimin, "what's up with you?"
The sky was fading darker as we strolled to where his car was parked. "By the way, we had a surprise quiz earlier and guess what? I got the highest score!" I spoke in enthusiasm. He stopped his pace and turned towards me, while I reacted naturally, also turning to him.
A genuine, angelic smile formed on his face, and I felt my heart thump as he began stroking my head in a very gentle manner. What is this feeling? "In case nobody has told you yet, I'm proud of you. You're doing well."
A couple of days had passed and I was now in a place I never realized I would like so much. It really is so much better when you live alone. Sweat trickled down my forehead as I moved the last few boxes of my things, it was only yesterday that I moved in to my parents' owned apartment. It was sort of a high-end one though, but the good thing here is that I don't have to worry about finding money to pay the enormous rent payments here.
"Don't forget, we had an agreement. If I find out you're doing some foolish business again, you'll have to live off of your own money." She warned once again, while I kept saying I understood. My mother hung up and I jumped onto the couch, feeling the seclusion I truly appreciated. They only agreed to let me move out of the house if I stopped getting involved in mischief, so I promised I would never let them find out about those again. I never promised I'd stop, though. I let them do what they want, they should let me do so too.
It had been quite a while since I felt peace in something I could call home. At least I had my own privacy, where I don't need to mind every single move just because I might disappoint some people.
