PARK JI-MIN'S POV

오후 9 37

The night deepened as Hoseok and I had finished a few bottles of sparkling water instead of soju, and ate grilled pork belly. It was that time of the week where we'd get a break from work and just spend a night out somewhere, most likely with a few drinks too. Hoseok said that his stomach wasn't cooperating too well today so we decided not to drink soju unlike we always do. The studio had been doing well, and I couldn't be any more grateful to Hoseok for keeping it going when I wasn't in a good enough condition to work there myself.

"By the way, Saerin talked to me lately. She kept asking about you, if you were fine. She's probably hesitant to talk to you personally since you're obviously still in the process of moving on." He chugged the rest of his drink. "She said she's going to be working in Busan. Also, I think Taehyung is getting ready for his enlistment."

I forced a smile, looking away in slight bitterness. Even though I think I'm over everything, or at least fine with it, it still hurts a little bit. Maybe not a little bit, maybe more than that. "You know what I realized.. it's really harder to move on knowing you had the choice if you had to go through this or not. I just wonder sometimes, what could have happened if I didn't give her up so easily?" It wasn't easy, to be honest. But all it took was the smile she wore when she was with him.

Sitting in the car next to me was Hoseok, who had finally ceased talking as he somewhat decided to space out for a moment. Or not for too long. "Jimin-ah, the girl... the... the one on your lockscreen! Yeah, I think I know her, she's quite familiar."

"She's uh..." His face scrunched as he thinked hard, while I only raised an eyebrow showing not much interest, keeping my eyes on the rosd. "Wait, let me search her up..." Hoseok took out his phone and did his own things while I minded driving on the other hand.

"Found her! Her name is Kim Yun Seo!" Hoseok was scanning her social media profile. I chuckled nonchalantly. "You really think I don't know that?" He continued to talk, "she studies in Hanyang University, and she's quite popular for topping the exams all the time. It's amazing how someone could be so pretty and smart at the same time. You lucky, lucky boy! If I were you, I'd really let her be my girlfriend for real!"

"Too bad you're not me, Hyung" I scoffed heedlessly at his remark. I'm not really in the place for those things yet, or at least that's what I think. Pain caused by love is no joke, and I know that very well myself. Also, I don't even think she's that serious with it.

"Yeah right. And hey, are you getting ready to move? It's in a week right? You can call me if you need anything." Hoseok brought up my plan to move not too far from the old apartment. I nodded, "yeah, half of the apartment is filled with boxes already. I really hope this change also changes me."

The huge boxes were piled on the dim, emptied living room, whereas the only actual thing in the apartment was my bed to sleep on while waiting for that date where I move out. This was a pretty hard choice but I thought that things might become easier for me, even just a bit, if I moved out of this place. Some of my close friends suggested this too, because I was mostly bugged by the memories created in here.

I have to admit, it's still in me. How beautiful were the nights we slept under one roof, and much more during that night I sang her to sleep. It was all unfading memories that I neither loved or hated. Maybe it's just there to remind me of those times I spent with Saerin. If only I didn't love her too much, maybe it wouldn't hurt so bad. And I hate how I still look back on those days at certain times I space out.

After taking a shower, I was prepping to go to sleep, head resting on the pillow. By then, my phone rang, and I completely wondered why someone would call at such an ungodly hour. This person must know me well, I thought, but apparently not. It was an unknown number calling. I don't know why but I answered the call. "Hello?"

"Oppa!" I pulled away the phone from my ear as the girl spoke too loud. What even is this...

"Do I know you?"

KIM YUN-SEO'S POV

"It's me, jagiya!" I exaggerated a cheerful voice. Sitting by the window, I held the phone against my ear while meaning to ruin this guy's night again. Also, I think it's my newfound hobby! "How.. how did you get my number?" He asked, voice full of curiosity.

"Hmm, that's a secret~ What are you up to, jagi?" Even I was cringing at my voice, but it was too funny to stop. There was a long pause until he answered, "Oh you know, just thinking about you." I became quiet for a second, registering what I just heard. Is he actually playing along?

"Omona~ you're so sweet, do you wanna come over for some fun time?" I bet he can't beat this one. He chuckled and said in a sarcastic tone, "Ewww, jagiya~ maybe you should learn how to do your own laundry first before that!"

"Ah, is that so? I don't like small chili peppers anyway~" I held back a laugh as I replied. Does this guy really think he can outplay me? He can't have fun, only I can.

"Aigoo, you got the wrong person, jagiya. What chili pepper are you talking about? Are you cheating on me?" He really was playing along better than I thought he would. This isn't fun anymore!

"You're pretty good at this." I talked with my normal voice, smirking as I stood up and layed on the bed instead, gazing at the ceiling. He snickered and replied, "of course I am. You think you're the only one who can have fun? I'm hanging up, weirdo."

"Promise you won't block my number, jagi?" I tried to sound as cute but probably came out as annoying. But that's exactly the point. "What? No way, jagiya~" He said before the call was ended for some reason. I dialed his number again and... I was blocked.
