A dark shadow appeared in the corner. You assumed that must be where the entrance is. You growled deeply at the figure as it crept closer to you.
Another shock went through you, making you stagger slightly. The figure moved closer to you faster.
Another growl and then another shock.
God, will this ever stop?
Finally, the figure was just outside the door to the cage. Who or whatever this was stared at you for a short time before they spoke.
"F/n, it's me, Severus. Albus is on his way with Minerva. We'll have you out in no time. Oh Merlin, what has she done to you?" He said alarmed.
He was looking at all the wires that were hooked up to you. Your eyelids drooped, you just wanted to sleep forever.
It must be whatever she injected into me.
A few more figures appeared from the darkness, walking over to you uncertainly.
"Oh dear, this is horrible." Minerva looked at you with a frown on her face.
Forgetting that the shocks were on a timer, you were caught off guard as another shock went through you.
The other three professors gasped as they watched you be electrocuted. Minerva had placed a hand over her mouth, Albus had looked away, and Severus winced, looking like he was going to cry.
"I would have never thought she was capable of such horrendous acts." Albus whispered.
You whimpered softly, trying to encourage them to get a move on and get you out of there.
"Hurry, before it shocks her again."
Severus waved his wand at the lock on the cage and it clicked open. Albus went over to the computer that Umbridge had been working at earlier. Minerva was looking at the monitor next to your cage and the vital signs.
"The shackles won't come off!" Severus grumbled loudly and shook them angrily.
The aggressive movement triggered another shock. Severus had just barely let go in time before he had been shocked.
"We need to get those wires out of her, quickly now!" Albus marched over.
They began looking at the wires carefully, studying how they were attached and where they went.
Minerva had found where the wires were plugged in. They had been attached to a large machine that had numbers flying across the screen.
"Stupid muggle technology, I can't believe she managed to sneak all this in here." She said hotly.
She said a few charms and the machine shut off. Grabbing the ends of the plugs, she yanked them out of the machine and threw them on the ground.
Going back over to you, she went to help Albus and Severus pull the rest out of you.
Albus muttered something that you didn't catch and you felt a sharp pain in your spine as the wires started to come out.
You yelped at the pain that shot through you.
"Careful!" Severus hissed at him.
"Almost there..." Albus muttered.
Finally, the wires were out. Your body dropped to the floor of the cage, no longer being supported by the tension of the wires.
The three professors breathed in sharply as your body hit the metal surface.
"Help me get these shackles off." Severus implored the two.
They each took turns trying to release you from the chains, but none of them were successful.
"I'm not sure why nothing is working.... she must have protected them with some sort of dark magic." Albus voiced his thoughts out loud.
"Leave it to her to use dark magic! You should have never hired her, Albus!" Minerva grunted as she tried to manually take the shackles off.
"What are we going to do? She isn't able to leave this cage unless we get the chains unconnected." Severus asked impatiently.
For once, Albus was at a loss for words. He had no idea how they were going to free you.
You closed your eyes in exhaustion, wishing to just fall asleep and wake up to all this being a bad dream.
"It's a good thing I installed those cameras..."
The three professors snapped around.
Standing before them was none other than Dolores Umbridge.
"How dare you treat someone like this! You ought to be chained up and continuously electrocuted!" Minerva waved at you and shouted at her angrily.
The pink woman cackled at them.
"You really have no idea what all this is? Do you?" She began pacing.
Severus raised his wand at her.
"Come now, Severus, you are no match for me. Lord Voldemort gave me powers that are far beyond you." She eyed him cooly.
"Voldemort?! That's what your doing? You've been working for him this whole time?!" Severus yelled at her.
"Yes. With miss f/n here, I can bring him back to his full glory."
Severus didn't take the time to hear what else she had to say, he yelled a charm and waved his wand with force, shooting sparks out and blasting them into the ugly woman.
She screamed in pain as her body crumpled to the ground and then turned into ash.
Minerva and Albus stared at Severus in shock.
"Severus... do you know what you've just done? Not only have you murdered a faculty member... but a member of the ministry. AND used a charm that is punishable by death!" Minerva gasped raspedly.
"She got what she deserved. Don't tell me that you didn't want it to happen. I don't care if it's punishable, look what they did to f/n!" he snarled.
Minerva turned back to you and looked at you with a greaved expression on her face.
Then they noticed the chains. They were gone.
"Hmm... by destroying her, you destroyed the magic that held the chains in place..." Albus eyed you curiously.
"Let's get her out of here. Now." Severus ordered.
"Wait! One more thing!" Minerva cautioned him.
She came closer to you, slowly. This was the first time she had ever been this close when you were in your animagi form. She was uncertain of how you would react.
You looked up at her and whimpered, wagging your tail softly.
Gently grasping her hands around your mouth, she took the leather muzzle off.
You sighed, relieved. Even though the shackles and collar was still clamped down around your paws and neck, you felt like a giant weight was lifted from you.
"Okay, lets go." She said firmly.
The three professors lifted you carefully and finally carried you out of your torture chamber.
