The hallways felt colder than usual. They were normally pretty cold, but something was different this time.
You closed your eyes, exhausted. The bobbing of your body from the three older professors carrying you was beginning to lull you to sleep.
Your body ached from all the damage you had endured whilst Umbridge held you captive. The collar around your neck that had been used to electrocute you, made your neck raw. Your sides were bloodstained from the wounds along your spine and your paws were shaky.
Slowly, you drifted into dreamland.
Opening your eyes, you noticed you were in a forest. The trees were huge and reaching to the heavens. You looked around noticing how green the grass was beneath your paws and a small dirt path that led forward, fenced by small mushrooms on each side.
Tilting your head and listening for any sounds, all you heard was the faint wind rustling through leaves and a few tiny birds chirping, perched on the highest branches.
You began to pad forwards through the trees, the path winding around large rocks and near caves. Finally, you saw a clearing.
Just before you reached the clearing, a scent wafted to your nose. Crouching, you stalked your prey. You could hear it's heart beating faster as you edged ever closer to it.
Soon you were only a few feet away from the source of the scent. Whatever it was, it was coming from a tall clump of grass, which in turn hid your prey from view.
Bundling up your legs underneath you, you prepared to run and ambush it.
Bolting towards it, you smacked into a person, who yelled in shock.
Surprised, you leaped away from them, not taking the time to see who it was.
After deciding you were a safe distance away, you turned to see who you had run into.
Sitting in the grass was your father.
What is he doing here?
You padded uncertainly back up to him, your head lowered to show you meant no harm.
Does he know who I am?
Your father was a somewhat disheveled man, with graying brown hair and crow's feet around his eyes. He wore a pair of small round spectacles that drooped near the end of his nose. His face was stubbled, but the wrinkles outlining his mouth showed that he smiled often. He was of average build with slightly lanky arms.
He rubbed his chin thoughtfully as he looked at you with his gray eyes.
"F/n? Is that you?"
Happy that he actually recognised you, you wagged your tail and came closer to him.
He embraced you and kissed you gently on the top of your head.
"I have no idea where I am. The last thing I remember, I was reading the Daily Prophet, sitting in my recliner waiting on your mother to finish supper when I woke up here..."
He looked at you as though you would say something, but you only tilted your head.
"Right. I suppose you can't speak, being a wolf and all..."
You sat down next to him, resting your head on one of his knees. He looked you over sympathetically.
"I guess you're wondering why you're an animagi, despite not actually going through the process of becoming one..."
