Yeosang couldn't help but shake like a leaf as he finally made it to the apartment building, it wasn't old, but it wasn't necessarily new either. It was tall, at least 8 stories high and was made from some sort of grey concrete, there were no balconies, and crawling up the wall of the building was a deep green vine of ivy.
It was actually quite pretty but it juxtaposed with the person Seonghwa had become. Was this really where Seonghwa lived?
Maybe in the past Yeosang could see Seonghwa moving into a place like this, but even still, he had cash now clearly; his fancy suit, phones and mystery job were evidence enough for Yeosang so why would he choose to live in such a place?
Yeosang walked up the steps to an outdoor foyer area, but the automatic style glass doors that would let him inside wouldn't open.
Yeosang stood waving his arms and stepping back and forth hoping to trigger a door sensor, but when that failed to work he looked about hoping he might spot someone who could help him instead.
He was just about to trying pushing on the doors when he caught eye of a set of buttons on the wall out the corner of his eye.
Yeosang face palmed, he had to be buzzed in.
Yeosang walked over to the buzzers tracing his finger down the names beside each button until he found Seonghwa's. He gave it a push and waited.
Nothing happened.
Did he need to click it again? Did he need to hold his finger down on it?
Yeosang raised his hand to push the button again, but the glass doors suddenly flew open. Yeosang quickly scurried in before they closed.
It was eerily quiet in the indoor foyer, the sounds of the city outside merely a whisper. The small sspace was quite old fashioned, there were beige tiles on the floor and the walls were painted in a strange salmon colour. On one wall was a large painting of a forest and under it sat a brown leather couch and a coffee table with some magazines.
Yeosang navigated his way to the elevator which sat between two plastic looking plants opposite the couch.
After he'd pressed the up button he couldn't help but tremble as he waited for his ride to arrive. He felt like he was about to go on a ride to receive either judgement or salvation.
The elevator arrived with a ding and with strange whirring sounds was soon taking him up to another small room with two blue doors on opposite salmon walls, with another plastic plant like the one downstairs between them.
Yeosang rung the doorbell for Apartment 07 and knocked twice. "Hwa it's me. Y-yeosang!"
Yeosang bounced from foot to foot, trembling way more than he knew he should be.
But then the door opened, and there was Seonghwa.
But not a scary suit wearing, rich man Seonghwa, no, this Seonghwa was different.
This Seonghwa was dressed in loose jeans, with an old looking pink sweater, he had cute bunny slippers on and in his hand was a spatula.
"Hello-" Seonghwa stopped eyes furrowing "Sangie why are you shaking? You look like someone switched you to vibrate" he giggled.
"Y-y-you . ." Yeosang tried to speak, but his words were stuck in his throat.
Rich scary Seonghwa from this morning was gone, Seonghwa actually looked like how he used to, then again maybe the sweater was secretly expensive and Yeosang was just too uneducated to see.
Yeosang stepped closer to Seonghwa, pulling on his sweater, searching for a label.
"Yeosang what on earth are you doing?" Seonghwa said as he grabbed Yeosang's wrists.
