Percy's POV
The weekend came and went quickly. Usually I would be at some sort of party on the weekend, but I stayed home this weekend. I wanted to learn my lines for the show.
I came to school Monday, tired as fuck. I'm not a morning person.
"Hey, Percy," Annabeth says, she's seems way to energize for a Monday morning. Her and Will walk up to me. I'm at my locker, but none of my other friends are there.
"How are you this energetic?" I ask, groggily. "Are you ever tired?"
"Annabeth doesn't sleep more than an hour a day," Will explains, equally as tired as me.
Annabeth shrugs it off. "You can sleep when you're dead. Besides, you're brain works best between three and five am. I can't miss that."
"You brain at a normal time works better than mine would at three," I say. She smiles wide.
"I know."
"And everyone thinks I'm arrogant," I say, a hint of laughter in my voice. Annabeth smiles.
"That's because you are."
"Says you," I say.
"Exactly. Says me. And I'm always right." As we are having conversation, we've slowly been walking towards each other.
"Always, really? You're always right?"
"See, now you're getting it," she says, and we meet just a few inches from each other. Neither of us moving or talking
I breath is jagged as we stand so close.
It's not that I like her or anything, probably just something about being close to someone so beautiful when it's so early in the morning.
She is real pretty, looking up at me, a few inches. She's not much shorter than me, but I bet she'll still get annoyed if I tease her for it.
A few strands of hair are falling by her eyes, and I start the blonde curls behind her ears. It'll help me see the startling gray eyes, that never cease to impress me, much like Annabeth.
The eyes that seem to calculate every single think like that happens.
The eyes that can give a death glare so scary that it would make a dragon tremble in fear.
The eyes that-
My thoughts are interrupted by a clicking sound and my hand freezes right next to Annabeth's face, as I turn my hand to see what that was.
"Sorry, I thought the sound was off," says a bashful Will, who seems to be shrinking into himself, with his phone face Annabeth and I.
"What were you doing, Will?" Annabeth says, in a threading sort of way, nodding her head to the phone.
A nervous looking Will says, "I think you already know."
Wait, what was he doing? I wonder, a few more seconds that I should have.
He was taking a picture of us. Duh.
Damn you, Will. Now everyone's gonna think I'm dating Annabeth. I mentally shake my fists at him.
But, as angry as I am, I don't think anyone should have to deal with how angry Annabeth looks right now.
Right as Annabeth tries to run and strangle Will, I grab her by the torso, tightly and Will, who's arms were up as a shield, looks up confused.
Now, in hindsight it was the great idea to grab a mad Annabeth by the torso, by someone with a phone, who thinks we like each other.
Do you see the false in my plan?
