Percy's POV

Why on earth did it bug me that Annabeth thought her soulmate was Luke? Or even more, that she might be right?

She's just some nerd. It's not like I like her. Luke can have her and I'll just have someone else.

But she's not just some nerd. I argue with myself.

What the fuck does that even mean? Arguing with myself?

Annabeth is beautiful and kind, I reason. You don't want Luke to have her.

Why the fuck should I care? We're just friends.

That's why you have nick names for each, then.

Damn you, voice in my head! Why can't you just shut the hell up?

Before I can respond to myself, Annabeth asks Mr. Solace something. "Um, do you want Luke and I to kiss?" she asks.

Mr. Solace ponders on this for a few minutes, before coming up with his answer. "Leave all three of your kisses out until opening night, unless I decide to change it." Annabeth nods, and Luke and her continue the scene.

Dammit, Luke is really good. Annabeth was right, the theatre masks were probably representing Luke.

I am pulled out of my thoughts by the guys conversation, well the guys other than Nico, Will, and Grover. Grover is working with Mr. Solace as stage manager and Will and Nico are talking.

Well, more like Will is talking, Nico is getting annoyed and blushing.

Huh, wonder what that's about.

"So, what do you think this musical night is gonna be?" Frank asks.

"It's probably gonna be a bunch on musical numbers or shit, but the problem is, I don't know any of those," I say.

"Yeah, I haven't had any interest in theatre before, like, a week ago," Jason adds.

"It's not all musical theatre," Calypso says, coming over to us with Katie and Rachel.

"Though, most of us choose something vaguely related to Broadway," Katie adds.

"Then how's it related to Broadway?" Leo asks.

"Well, it's like the actors and stuff," Calypso says.

Other questions from us ring out and the girls try their best to answer them, until Annabeth comes over with Grover. "Hey, guys. Rehearsals over," Grover says. "Y'all missed the last announcements. Though it was mostly notes for Annabeth and Luke."

"Oh, well did he say anything that we need to hear?" Jason asks.

"Oh, yeah," Annabeth says, "we're doing the first court room scene and classroom scene run through tomorrow. Also, he wants you guys to be quieter while we're on stage."

"We can't help if y'all are boring," Piper jokes.

Annabeth rolls her eyes. "Oh, shut up. Anyways, what were you talking about?"

"The musical night," Calypso says. "The guys had a lot of questions."

"Speaking of, when is it?" Connor asks.

"We usually do it on Fridays," Will says, joining the group with Nico. They both have there bags, and so do Grover and Annabeth. "We random choose the category and then we have, like, ten or so minutes to prepare before we perform."

"Wait, what if we don't know any song in the category?" Leo asks.

"Then the rest of will show you some or something," Piper says.

"And what if we can't sing?" Jason asks, everyone looks at him confused as he is in the musical. "What I'm asking for Thalia. I've never heard her, but she always says she sucks."

"Well, tell her to suck it up," Rachel says. "I can't sing either, that doesn't mean it's not fun."

Everyone breaks off as we continue to talk about it. We all walk out to the parking lot. Will had to stay with his father, so I took Annabeth home. And Will asked if I could the rest of the week, too.

~•~

Friday has finally come after a pretty boring week. We had blocked most of the show, but the choreography wasn't done yet. Luckily, I don't have to dance. I only have to learn my lines.

We were gonna go to Calypso's house for the Musical Night. Her house was by the Grace's, the McLean's, and the Dare's. A big neighborhood full of big houses.

"Hey, Seaweed Brain," Annabeth calls, rushing to meet me as a exit the auditorium. "Are you taking me to Calypso's tonight or is Will?"

I chuckle. "It sounds like we're your personal drivers."

Annabeth smiles wide and cocks her head to look at me. "And I've decided that as of now, you are." I chuckle again.

"I guess I'll take you," I say. "Your parents are okay with you coming, right?"

"My family is out of town right now." Annabeth smiles. "My dad had a business trip, and Helen and the twins went with him."

I raise an eyebrow. "So you're home alone right now?"

"Yeah, but it's fine." She shrugs. "You know I'm more mature than you," she jokes, though she's right.

"Alright, but you have my number so you can call if you wanna stay at my house or something."

This seems to shock Annabeth, but she quickly recovers. "Yeah, I'll be sure too." We smile and walk to my blue Prius. It used to be Paul's, but he got a new car, so he gave it to me.

I also ran into a barn when I got it. I didn't break it completely, but you can definitely tell that I crashed it.

Annabeth slides into the passengers seat as I start the car. We start driving and I ask Annabeth, "You wanna go home and grab anything?"

"Yeah, the girls and I are gonna have a sleepover at Calypso's after," she says, and she turns on the music. This week she's been playing only show tunes, which aren't actually bad at all.

I'll ask Annabeth questions about the show or actors and she lights up, telling all about it. She gets so excited about musical and it's adorable.

And she gets super excited for me when I make the connections on my own. Like if one actor is in another show or if I understand something about a complicated show with out her help. She gets this proud look on her face and smiles widely at me.

It's so beautiful.

Wait, what?

It makes me want to learn all about theatre, just to show her. Just to see Annabeth be proud of me.

"Alright, let's play a different show today," Annabeth says. "Next To Normal. Try to figure out what this ones about." She turns on the music and a song called Just Another Day comes on.

I glance at Annabeth and see that she's mouthing the words, happily. She had a dreamy look on her face and seems to be lost in thought.

"Well, it's obviously not about a stable family," I say. Annabeth looks at me and laughs.

"You got that right."

A/N

I would have gotten this out to you sooner, but Wattpad was being a bitch.

It's still not working how I want it to, so this chapter isn't all I wanted it to be.

If Wattpad can't get it's shit together, than I'm not going to be able to post the next chapter, but I'll work on writing it.

Sorry for not posting.

Love, Kate
