Carly's POV
Focusing my attention onto him, a crooked smile stretched across my lips. Blood was covering my clothes, face, and the floor around us. Buggy walked up to me and laughed.
"I'll take care of the rest of them, but your job is to kill him." he whispers into my ear. My mind was clouded, I couldn't hear my thoughts anymore. The only words left to remember, were kill and him. Kill him. Kill Zoro. Running towards the swordsman I swiftly swung my swords. He quickly blocked them with his, stopping himself from being injured.
"Carly! I'm not gonna fight you!" Zoro yelled, trying to hold me back. I giggled sadistically, pushing him back further with every step.
"Well that will make this a lot easier won't it?" the twisted words escaped from my lips. Zoro was taken aback by my words and hesitated for a second. Quickly, I took my opportunity to attack. I pulled one sword away from Zoro's and slashed his leg. He fell slightly giving me time to pull up my other sword and slice his face. Zoro backed up holding his eye where I had cut. Blood dripped down his face as he removed his hand from his left eye. Now closed, his eye was covered red. Zoro frowned and ran at me. I prepared for an attack, but was caught off guard when I felt Zoro grab the back of my shirt. He pulled me quickly through the door and into a room inside the boat.
"Let me go!" I screamed as I tried to escape his grip. Zoro let go of my shirt and I fell backwards onto a chair. I was about to get up to attack him again when I looked over. Zoro was looking over at me, blank expression. Not one ounce of fear or sadness, happiness or joy. He just sat there quiet. I frowned.
"Why did you bring me in here? You know that it's easier to kill you now seeing as we are in a small room." I asked the swordsman. He blinked before sitting down in a chair in front of me.
"Answer me!" I yelled as he stayed quite. I went to pull out my swords, but he grabbed them from my hand and put them down next to him.
We stayed like this for a while, silent and alone. Zoro had stopped the bleeding from his eye and now there was a long scar running down it. I could have killed him this whole time, I got up once or twice and he still just sat there quiet and emotionless. I wasn't really sure what to do.
"You know he's using you right?" Zoro asked quietly, not breaking our eye contact. I frowned, I didn't know how to answer.
"What are you talking about?" I scoffed, crossing my arms and looking away.
"He's tricking you, you didn't really wanna kill any of those people or me. He's controlling your mind, making you do it." he said still looking blankly at me. I was about to say something when suddenly I felt something else on my lips. Zoro's lips softly touched mine before he pulled away. It was almost like a storm had cleared by and now there was a precious rainbow forming. My mind felt clear and I had realized everything I had done. Tears slowly fell from my eyes as I looked at the scar that I had made down his eye. It was like some kind of spell had been lifted from me, because in that moment I broke down. Crying uncontrollably, I had finally thought about all the horrible things that I had done. Zoro's strong arms wrapped around me, warming me as I cried. I looked up and gently placed my hand on his cheek, staring at the scar.
"I-i'm a monster." I mumbled as I looked away from him. Standing up, I held my head in my hands.
"You're not a monster Carly." he answered. I frowned and looked over at Zoro, my hair hanging near my face.
"How could you say that! I've done so many horrible things to you! Think about it, when we first met I tried to kill you, I almost hurt you during Mihawk's tournament, I tried to hunt you down and capture you, and now.. now I really did hurt you.. badly." I cried, yelling at the twenty-one year old swordsman sitting in front of me. He sat quiet, I knew it.. I knew he thought I was a monster.
"It pointless to even be together, I always end up hurting you. I don't even know why you would ever want to be with me in the first place.." I whispered as I felt a few more tears slip down my cheeks. Zoro stood up and wiped my teary cheeks with his thumb. His hand carressed my cheek softly.
"Carly it's just an eye, it doesn't matter that much. I'm still alive, I'm still standing here in front of you. You could scream at me, hurt me, god you could even leave me to die and never come back again... and I'd still love you just as much as always." he said smiling. I looked down at the floor and sighed.
"Why.. why do you do all this for me when you know what I'm really capable of? Why don't you find someone else, a nice and sweet girl who isn't afraid of herself... who isn't afraid that she might kill the ones she loves?" I questioned him. He placed his hand under my chin and lifted my head back up to look at him.
"Why would I ever be with someone else, when I already have the most amazing girl to love?"
