Small Picture

Chapter 3

Amy's POV:

I heard birds chirping once again from the outside. They were pretty loud, but they were lovely. Oh, I almost forgot! I have school today! I need to start getting ready so I have enough time to eat breakfast!

Jumping out of my bed, I started to walk towards my closet with all of my clothes in it. I looked through them, and I found my school uniform. It was a white shirt with a thin black jacket, with a black skirt. I also had to wear normal black shoes with them, which was fine with me!

"Amy! Come downstairs for your breakfast before it gets cold!" My mother called out to me.

"I am coming!" After I put on my clothes, I went to the bathroom and put on spray, deodorant, and then I brushed my teeth.

I looked over at the kitchen table, and saw a delicious plate of scrambled eggs and toast with butter spread on it. It was ready for me to eat it!

I sat down at the table and started eating my food. It was super good! I was also happy that I have my favorite orange juice to have with my breakfast!

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!"

My sister came running down the stairs with her right hand covered.

"Mom!! I got my picture! I got picture!!"

"Happy birthday sweetie! Let me see what you got!"

My sister uncovered the back of her right hand and showed my mother the small picture she was talking about yesterday.

"Oh sweetie! It is so beautiful!" My mom said while putting her hands around my sister's hand.

"Hey sis, do you mind if I could see what it is?" I asked her.

"I don't mind! Here, look!" She started coming towards me and showed me her hand. It was a picture of a full moon with lots of detail into it.

"Wow! That is really pretty!"

"I know right!?"

My sister sat down and started eating her breakfast, and when she finished, we took our plates to the sink and headed towards the door to get our backpacks. We got outside and got inside the car, and we started going to school.

On the way there, my sister kept telling mother that she was excited to tell her friends and how she wonders if anyone has the same picture as she does.

I was super confused, "I don't know why it is such a big deal."

My sister turned to me and said, "Don't worry, once you turn 16, you will understand why it is so exciting!"

"Well...if you say so.."

I really still didn't understand why it was such a big deal. It is only a small little picture on the back of your hand. But, I guess I will have to wait until I am 16..

We got to my school, and my mom dropped me off. My sister and I go to different schools, and my mom always drops me off first since my school is closer to where we live than my sisters.

"Bye Amy! Have fun in school!"

"Bye mother! By sis!"

They both waved me goodbye and then headed off to my sister's school.

I started walking towards the entrance and opened the doors to my school.
