Chapter 4

Sonic's POV:

Yes! Finally! School time again! I have been missing going to school and seeing all of my friends.

Not many kids like going to school, but I do! Well, the only reason I do is because P.E is easy! Especially on running days.

But enough chatting, I need to go put get ready. My school has to wear uniforms which is oddly weird, but hey, I guess I am going to have to deal with it.

My school uniform is just black jeans with a black tuxedo. I think my school is trying to be one of those fancy rich kid schools. But yet, my school does A LOT of donations to the school. I mean, it is nice to see the school's staff trying.

I started to put on my uniform with black shoes, and I went downstairs to go to the kitchen for breakfast.

As I was going downstairs, I heard my parents talking in the kitchen again. Should I listen? But what kind of hedgehog would that make me?!

"Well, it is the next day, we have to tell him once he comes down for breakfast." I heard my dad tell my mom.

"I know we are supposed to tell him today, but can't we just tell him when he comes back from school? I don't want the news to ruin his day at school."

"Fine, but we are still going to tell him today. But when he turns 16, we tell him about Manic. If we tell him now about his brother, he would be scared and wouldn't understand."

"Okay. This is going to be kind of rough."

Okay, now I was confused. They need to tell me something today after school, and when I am 16, they have to tell me something about Manic!? I want to know now though...

After sitting at the top of the stairs for a little bit longer, I went downstairs and pretended I just woke up.

"Hey mom, hey dad." I said while trying to fake yawn.

My mom smiled at me, "Good morning sweetie! Your bowl of cereal is on the table, you better hurry! You wouldn't want to miss the bus, now would you?"

I ate my cereal and placed it in the sink, I ran to the door and took my backpack, then headed out the door.

"Bye mom! Bye dad!" I waved them goodbye before closing the door.

I ran to the bus stop and waited for the bus to come. When it did, I walked in it and saw Tails waving over to me.

"Sonic! There is a seat right here next to me! Come on!" I went ahead and sat down next to him.

Tails is my best friend. I have known him ever since we were 6 years old! People would say our friendship is weird since we both like different things.

For example, Tails is the most smartest kid in our school. He is always above his classes, he has never failed a single class in his life. I believe the lowest grade he has gotten was a 95 on a spelling test!

But whenever the princable would ask if he would like to skip some grades up, he would always decline. I never asked him why, but I guess everyone has their reasonings to not do something.

And then there is me. I am average at my classes, the only class I am good at is P.E.

"So Sonic, how was your weekend?"

"It is okay. Except for one thing."

"What is it?"

"My parents were hiding something. They know something about my brother, Manic. They are going to tell me something after school when I get home. Apparently, Manic is 6 years older than me!"

"Huh? Are you sure all of this is real? I am not saying you are a liar. It is just weird that they know something about your brother that you don't know."

"It is...that is why I am going to find out today!"

The bus stopped and the bus driver yelled, "Alright, get off this bus, go to school."

Everyone got out of the bus and started walking towards the entrance.

I wonder what my parents need to tell me....
