Chatper 6

*In Gym class*

"All right everyone! Now that all of you are dressed, start doing all of your stretches!" The coach yelled out to everyone sitting on the gym floor.

"You all have 20 minutes to do all 17 stretches 15 times. For example, you must do 15 sit ups and push ups. If you don't finish all of them, you are running a lap!"

"YES SIR!" then everyone started doing their stretches, well, everyone except Sonic. He barely ever does the stretches, but when he does, he doesn't finish them in time.

His friend, Tails, looked over at the hedgehog who was just sitting down, not doing anything at all.

"Dude!" The fox whispered yelled to him. "Start doing your stretches before time runs out!"

Sonic scratched his nose and tsked. "I'm good. It is just running, I am the best at that!"

"Yeah, but what if he makes you run around the baseball field?"

"Then that won't be a problem at all. I am perfectly find with what running he gives me. I can take it!"

"Hey hedgehog!" A voice from behind Sonic whispered yelled to him.

"Hm?" Sonic turned around and saw a black and red hedgehog behind him. He had such a deep voice for such a young age. His name was Shadow, and man did Sonic hate Shadow.

"Start doing your warm ups before the coach catches you. Unless I should tell him.

"Hey, not don't go being a snitch now." Sonic said turning his back towards him.

The coach heard all the talking and walked to where Shadow, Tails, and Sonic were sitting. "Now what seems to be the problem here?"

"Sonic here, is not doing his stretches, I think you need to punish him." Shadow said smirking with delight.

"Huh, is that so? You're right Shadow, thanks for always being that good hedgehog."

"My pleasure."

Sonic was shocked as he had his mouth opened, he looked at Shadow, then looked at his coach who was very angry. "You mister Sonic, run 5 laps around this gym, now!"

The blue hedgehog rolled his eyes while getting up and started running.

You see, the gym coach favorites Shadow for one reason. The coach is Shadow's dad. And with that advantage, he can get away with ANYTHING. That is why Sonic always hated Shadow, he always used his powers against him.

Sonic couldn't even believe that Shadow will always be better at him in a lot of stuff. But he wasn't jealous, he knows that everyone in the school fears Shadow. He is a very violent person, and he goes to detention so many times. He even once picked up a desk and threw it at a Science teacher. He couldn't go to school for a week.

"All right everybody!" The teacher clapped his hands together to get the attention of the other students. "Normally today we would be running, but since all of you finished stretching before the timer ran out, you all get to have free time for 20 more minutes. Now go be active!"

Everyone went to the gym closet and started grabbing volleyballs and basketballs. Sonic and Tails decided to play basketball by having a 1v1 game.

"Hey Tails," Sonic said while dribbling the ball in his hands. "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"Well, when I overheard my parents talking, I also overheard them saying something about Manic being 16, they said something about him getting a picture, and that would be who he spent the rest of his life with. Do you know anything about 16 and getting a picture?"

"Hmmm, let me think..." after a moment of Tails thinking, he snapped his fingers and knew what Sonic was talking about.

"I got it! I read that when you turn 16, you get a picture on the back of your hand or glove, and if you have the same picture as someone else, both of you are soulmates and are meant to be!"

"Really? Wow, that is pretty lame. There is nothing to be excited about."

"But haven't you always wanted to know who you would be with the rest of your life?!"

Sonic shook his head no, and shot a basket in the hoop.

"Well, one day you will. I just know it!"

RING! RING! RING!

"That's the bell, let's get dressed out and head to lunch."

Sonic ran to put the basketball away and ran back to Tails, nodding his head.

The blue hedgehog was just super ready to go home and find out what his parents needed to tell him.
