No one's POV:

*In math class*

"Now, who can tell me what the bottom number of a fraction is?" The teacher, Mr. Tanaka, asked the whole class. He put down the chalk after writing a random fraction on the board.

Nobody was raising their hand. The only person who was raising their hand was a light purple cat.

The teacher looked at her and nodded for her to answer his question. "Go ahead."

"The bottom number of a fraction is called the denominator."

The teacher picked up the chalk and wrote denominator next to the bottom number of the fraction. "Very good miss Blaze. Very good."

"Wow, Blaze is really smart!" Young Amy whispered to her friend, Rouge, "I mean, we have never gone over stuff like this before and she already knew the answer at the top of her head!"

The white bat looked over at her. She started leaning back against her chair with her hands behind her head and her eyes closed.

"True. She probably just looked up the answer the night before. I think being smart is boring and a waste of time."

"I mean, it could be boring, but on the other hand, it is an advantage for you to do well in school!"

"Who cares about doing well in school?"

"Miss Rouge! Am I interrupting your conversation with Miss Amy?"

"Yeah actually, you kind of are."

The teacher was a bit tooken back about what Rouge had said. Meanwhile the class started giggling.

"What did you just say to me?!"

"All I did was answer your question. I mean, isn't that was school is about? Answering questions teachers ask you?"

"Are you giving me attitude!?!?"

"Not as much attitude as you are giving me."

The whole class went silent. Nobody made a single word.

"That's it! Detention! After school! You will stay there until 6 PM! Hope your parents will be glad to come get you!"

Rouge shrugged her shoulders and sat back down normally.

After a moment of silence, the bell rang for next period.

Amy stood next to Rouge's desk as she waited for her to get her stuff together.

"You know, you should not always get in trouble by every teacher for once. It's not good for your school records."

Rouge got her stuff together, and Amy and her started walking down the hallways to their lockers.

"Meh. It doesn't effect me too much. Besides, my parents are used to me getting detention almost every single day."

"Well, still, would it kill you to be a good student for once?" The pink hedgehog asked opening her locker and putting her books inside.

"Yes actually, it would kill me." Rouge said opening her locker which was next to Amy's locker.

RING! RING!

"That's the bell, I will see you after that for lunch. Bye Rouge!"

"See ya later!"

Amy started walking towards the Art room and went to the back to grab an apron. The put it on her and then took her seat. The tables were made in a circle with a table placed in the middle.

As soon as everyone else entered the room and took their seats, the bell rang again, meaning if you entered class after that, you will be marked late.

"All right class. Today we will be painting something normal, but at the same time, something fancy." The Art teacher then grabbed a vase with four diffrent flowers in it, and placed it on the table that was in the middle.

"You will all paint this vase with flowers. You have until the end of class, do good!"

Everyone including Amy started painting with the paints that were set next to them.

"You know, your friend needs to stay out of trouble." A voice next to Amy had said to her.

She turned over amd saw that Blaze was talking to her.

"Oh! Yeah, she really does. But Rouge doesn't like following directions all the time, sometimes she wants to do things her way."

"She sure is a trouble maker for doing things her way."

"She may be a trouble maker, but she is still a good friend to have by your side."

The purple cat went silent for a moment, thinking about what Amy had said. Then, she spoke,

"I guess I could see her being a good friend."

After a little moment of silence, Amy had thought to herself, maybe she would know about the small pictures you get at 16...

"Uh, hey Blaze?"

"Hm?"

"I was wondering....do you know anything about getting a small picture on the back of your hand at 16?"

"Oh! Of course I do! It started way back in the days, people started noticing pictures on the back of their hand appearing once they turned 16. When they would find someone with the same picture, they wouldn't think much of it. But they then discovered that whoever you share a picture with is your soulmate. Pretty cool right?"

"Wow, that is cool! So, do you know who your soulmate could be?"

"It is always a mystery."

RING! RING!

Everyone put their paint brushes away and started heading to lunch.

"Hey Blaze! Do you want to sit with me, Rouge, and another friend at lunch?"

"Sure, I don't see why not!"

"Great! See you until then!"
