Secrecy

.    .    .

"Are we there yet?" I asked with a groan of annoyance as I looked outside the moving car. It's been a while since I woke up and I already took a nap for the second time and we're still travelling. Just how far Blessed Academy is? I thought we used a car so we could arrive there faster.

Alyssa is still sleeping at her seat while Matilda and I ate some treats as we conversed with each other for the past minutes since I woke up. She said she couldn't sleep because she already did on the way to our house, so she's just playing with her crystalline.

"I never thought Blessed Academy is that far." I said while looking at the buildings we're passing by. We are at another town, and I Matilda said this is the seventh town we've passed. I also asked what Blessed Academy looked like but she just nonchalantly answered, "See for yourself."

She just shrugged her shoulders as she looked outside. But I flinched when she suddenly threw her crystalline at me when she loudly exclaimed "Ah!" like she remembered something. Before the crystalline hit my face, it stopped mid-air and went back to her.

"That's your magic?" I asked when the crystalline just flew by her hand and it suddenly disappeared, leaving purple dusts that eventually disappeared. Maybe her magic is somehow related to telekinesis.

She shook her head. "No. But we have the same magic." She answered, surprising me. We have the same magic? Isn't she Aphrodite's daughter?

"Well, yes. But what I mean is, I can produce magical auras, just like what you're doing with Lady Hera's magic." She answered and I'm guessing she read my mind before answering that. She then opened her palm and purple aura flew out of her hand, just like how my body can emit magical auras.

Her magical aura then flew across the car, passing through the sleeping Alyssa. We've been quite loud and I'm amazed that she's still sleeping.

"She didn't sleep a blink last night because of excitement." Matilda chuckled as she looked at Alyssa while her aura flew to me, encircling my body before flying back to the palm of her hand, curling into a ball.

She only did that and I'm immediately amazed. How can she even control her aura like that while doing absolutely nothing? It's like she let it out of her hands and it had a mind of its own before going back to her. But it's impossible since magical auras must be controlled by the user. Just like how I use my magical auras with concentration or else they would disintegrate immediately without proper concentration.

"My magic also includes healing using this aura, and I can read minds." She said before revealing a smirk. "You're jealous aren't you? Because you can't even control your aura like what I did." She laughed loudly, making me look at Alyssa but she's still sleeping.

"A bit." I admitted. "I mean, how can you even do that?"

She waved her hand like she's dismissing me. "Oh don't flatter me, it's no big deal. It's just decades of training." She said and covered her face like she was blushing. Isn't she too old for that? She must've heard that in my mind when she glared at me.

"Do you have a weapon?" I asked when I remembered how Blade angrily summoned a spear back then.

"This is my weapon." She answered with a grin as the magic aura flew higher and it glowed into a bright purple that it made me close my eyes because of the brightness.

And in just a blink, there's a dagger in her hands.

"Where did that came from?!" I exclaimed with widened eyes.
