. . .
"Miss Alyssa, that is not the proper way to handle a katana." Agnes said in a stern voice to Alyssa who was standing in front of a dummy.
I chuckled nervously and with worry as I looked at Alyssa who was handling her katana towards the dummy and Agnes is beside her. I grimaced at the thought of them training for over 30 minutes now, just for the basics of handling a katana. Ever since the day we talked about our dreams, and how she acquired a katana, she's been training with me.
It's already been a week since we woke up and we're okay now. The kids were very worried for me but I assure them I'm fine, and that I'm too strong to be defeated by that thing. But still, I was beaten up by the barrier, but I don't want to tell them that part.
Reiner talked to me how he saw a giant root emerge from the ground and smashed the open air until he saw how something cracked and crumbled from the open air. Like a glass was really in there. He said he's amazed how strong the root is and now, he's praising Alyssa every second he can.
After Alyssa got better, she said she would be leaving. But we did have a promise that we'll train every night here in the park, and since then, I've been sneaking out at night so we can train here, at the hidden part of the park. I found this before by myself and has been going here since, but it's big enough for us to train.
Agnes served as our training, not just because she wanted to teach us, but because I did command her a bit. But I just told her that we want to learn fighting then she got excited about it and talked to me about being our private trainer and now here we are, being tortured by Agnes. Tortured to exhaustion.
I just finished my training for more than 30 minutes, and now she's trying to train Alyssa who admitted she doesn't like physical and sword fights and would rather sit at the tallest tree in the world then command every tree to fight for her. So learning how to use the katana, given to her by the person she can't recognize, is giving her a hard time. She also admitted that she didn't go to any school in her life, that's why she's not that experienced in hand to hand combat.
It's true that she's very strong when she's commanding the trees to do her bidding, but when it comes to physical battle and she can't use any magic to help herself, she would just be scared at her opponent and try to run away until she finds a tree.
Every student of any magic schools were taught how to fight in a hand to hand combat, that's why I'm experienced in these kind of things. I was just exhausted so much because Agnes made me use magic while training and then she gave me some hard missions to do and now I just want to flee and sleep soundly on my bed.
It's already 2:00 in the morning and the three of us didn't have any plan or said about going home. This same thing happened since the first day we started this training. It would always result to us going home at 4 in the morning, and me sneaking inside the house.
There was that one time, 2 days after we started this and I was about to go inside the house but one of the kids went to the bathroom and exited the bathroom the exact moment I'm sweaty and was just about to go to bed. She asked where I went to and why I am sweating so I had to lie and told her I just picked something from outside and that I feel hot.
Thank gods she never mentioned it to anyone, or else, Mama Iris would grow suspicious of me. Papa Kane also almost caught me once, so I had to tell him I went to the bathroom and thankfully he's not fully awake yet so he just bought the lie. I didn't want to hide this to anyone so I had to tell Reiner, in case something bad happens at the training, he would knew where to find me. He even said he wanted to come but he can't since I leave the house at midnight.
