Rough Start

.    .    .

"Can we at least turn the television on?" Fur asked and tried to reach for the remote but Death swatted his hand away and him quiet, like everyone in the living room right now.

After the meeting at the library, and after I told them that we all have a mark, the headmasters quickly adjourned the meeting. I think the argument wasn't resolved and they set up rules about us not trying to hurt each other, but they won't even tell us things we should know about this mark.

Long story short, we're at the second house right now because Farron led the two to their rooms. Heart, Night and Fur wouldn't stop asking about our marks and Isos wanted to stay at the library to look for books regarding this mark but Death suggested that we should follow the two and try to talk to them. We didn't have a good start, but we should at least try to know each other.

We decided to have another meeting here at the living room, for one purpose. To try and know one another. We don't know why we have this mark out of all people, and we've been together for two days now but we still don't know each other. Only our names and nicknames.

"Can someone call that girl upstairs?" Death asked us. No one budged so I stood up and went upstairs to call Jean downstairs.

Maybe they're not comfortable with her anymore. Well, she did act like a tough person earlier and I don't think they liked that very much. Especially Fur and Night. Death seemed cool with it already but the other two wasn't having it.

Her room was at the farthest left, in front of Isos' room. I let out a sigh before knocking at her door. After almost a minute of knocking and calling her, she wasn't still opening it.

"Miss. Talk to me." I told her. Maybe she got irritated at my constant knocking at she opened her door with an annoyed face.

"What do you want?" She snarled at me.

Another sigh escaped my lips. She's tough. "Ah, we're supposed to have a meet—"

Before I can finish my sentence, she slammed the door on my face, knocking me back. Damn, that almost got me. So she's going to play this way, huh?

"Hey!" I knocked harder. If she's going to act this way, then my brotherly attitude would likely kick in. She's acting like a child! And when a child acts this way, I can't help but be persistent.

"Stop knocking! You're annoying!"

"And you're such a brat! Open this door, now!"

I didn't know if the others could hear us but our voices were so loud that I'm sure they can hear us from below. Plus, I think I saw the peculiar crystalline owned by Isos.

"Open—"

The door suddenly opened and because of my reflex in fighting, I quickly summoned my weapon when she tried to attack me with hers. Her whip wrapped around my quarterstaff and she tried to pull it away from me so I pulled it back.

"What the underworlds! We can't fight! We'll be punished!" I shouted at her while we're tugging at my weapon. She just doesn't give up.

"I don't care!" She said and pulled harder.

In my annoyance, I unsummon my weapon so her pulling caused her to stumble to the ground. I opened the door wider and went inside her room. She's now lying her back on the ground, grunting angrily at me but I quickly stopped her when she tried to attack me by locking her arms to the ground.

The phrase never judge a book by its cover applied perfectly to Jean. She has a soft and kind face, and her body was skinny that you won't expect her to fight but she's really wild. I'd rather handle 15 kids than handle her, to be honest. But we're going to live together and I can't afford to live with someone who would always argue with us.
