Lisa's focus was scattered, she was so filled with nervousness and giddy anticipation. Her excitement finally spilling over the top, flowing out around her. She could barely hold a conversation or sit still, her imagination whizzing around in countless directions. They had already been on two dates, but Lisa was still doing her best to impress the other.

Every few seconds she would pick up her phone and check the time, she must have picked it up and put it down over a million times now. Each time disappointed that it had barely changed at all since the last glance.

When the girl she's been waiting for finally pushes open the door to the café, the rapid pulsing of Lisa's heartbeat pulls her brain slightly more into focus. Her smile grows unintentionally and of its own accord, just locking eyes with the shy girl walking towards her was enough to make her cheeks heat up. It was a feeling that Lisa was growing to depend on more recently, trusting that in any situation, Chaeyoung would be able to make her smile.

It was like she couldn't find her voice, her mouth was dry. The younger girl knew her cheeks were flushed and she was probably making an idiot of herself. But if making an idiot of herself made the angel in front of her giggle and mutter "cute", then she would do it.

Lalisa Manoban wasn't the type to crush on someone. To her, a crush was nothing more than lust for another. That was until she met Chaeyoung Park. The unexplainable feelings the Thai felt for the new girl. Everyday they sit beside each other in History class, and everyday the girl occupies Lisa's thoughts. A blush almost constantly staining her pale skin.

When her friends in the past had a crush on a boy, she would think it was stupid. She never understood how her friends could apparently 'fall in love' with someone between third and fourth period, then be hung up on them for weeks. But, now Lisa had her own infatuation and it was as if she was being suffocated. Her voice, her laugh, her lips, her hair, her eyes. Everything about Chaeyoung was floating through Lisa's mind and she was constantly dwelling on it. 24/7. She had never faced distractions like this, her concentration levels dropping to a minimum.

So, after 6 weeks of flirty history lessons, Lisa making a fool of herself, and sleepless nights, Lisa finally asked the girl out. The real surprise though, was that she had actually said yes. Their first two dates were unforgettable, both leaving Lisa slipping even further under the other girls unintentional spell. So, here they were. Date number three.

"Hi!"

Lisa snapped back to focus, the sweet honey voice pulling her out of her trance. "Hi!"

Both girls stood awkwardly, staring at one another, waiting for the other to make the first move. Chaeyoung had her hair pulled back today, Lisa noticed. She didn't wear her hair like this often, but when she did Lisa always made sure to take a mental photograph and analyse every little detail.

In the cafe the two girls sit, slightly nervous but comfortable chatter flowing between them. Two coffees nearly downed, at one point forgotten because the attention of the girls were only on each other. The laughter, the smell of freshly ground coffee beans and the smile of someone she cared about? To Lisa, this was happiness.

"I'm serious!" Lisa defends herself while the Korean girl cracks up laughing at her story. "I didn't realise who it was until it was way too late!" Both girls giggle, Lisa sharing her embarrassing moments was somehow relaxing the nerves of the pair.

A still smiling Lisa lifts her coffee mug to her lips, not taking her eyes off the beauty in front of her as the warm liquid dribbles down her throat. She looked so carefree and relaxed, so it was a complete shock to poor Lisa when Chaeyoung pulled their faces together.

Lisa's mind went blank, her nostrils filling with the familiar scent of vanilla as she was stripped of every straight thought she had. The kiss didn't last long, but for Lisa, the feeling of Chaeyoung's lips on her own would last a lifetime. It was soft, warm, and firm, not exactly the kind of kiss you would see in movies, but it was both special and wonderful in its own way. Special because of who was sharing the kiss. Their first kiss.

The way Chaeyoung pulled Lisa's face in so quick that she couldn't protest, the way they both froze when their lips actually touched, the way the Korean girl giggled when she caught Lisa smiling. All of it was etched into the minds of the couple.

To those around them, it was nothing special. Just two people, going on a date and sharing a kiss. But, for these two girls, as soon as their lips touched, they knew that the memory would last forever.
