Chap 7: thinking

i just hopped out of the shower and i was currently getting dress. I chucked on a white shirt and skinney jeans with a plaid shirt. I slipped on my glasses and put my hair in a messy bun before slipping into black converse and chucking my bag over my back. i grabbed my phone and walked down to the kitchen before grabbig an apple and my car keys before i drove off to school. My brother was helping dad today so he got the day off which sucked since i still had to go to school. Soon enough i was at the car park and i parked my car before i hopped out and walked over to my friends as i smiled.

"Have you guys thought of anyone we could use for our team?" I asked as they all shook their heads.

"i had one but then i got scared because what if they found out who we were and spilled our secret?" Ivy asked as i nodded and the bell run as we all walked to our lockers and got out our books before i walked to class with history with Ivy. Once we found our seat we sat down and waited for the teacher while i looked at my book. We needed someone to race with us but who i mean Ivy had a point about them finding out who we are so this was going to be very dangerous but isnt my life already dangerous? anyway we need someone who was a good racer but wouldn't hate us but want to.

"Eleanor were you even listening?" the teacher asked snapping me out of my thoughts.

"yes sir" i replied as he just shook his head and contiuned working on the board.

English one of the few classes I like since I'm good at it. This weeks task was to become friends and I think that was already happening with Ryder and I. But today I wasn't really thinking about work but who we could use on our team and it was fustraghiting that not one person popped into my head.

"El El Eleanor" Ryder yelled as I looked at him snapping out of my thoughts. Yeah Ryder and I made nick names for each other he calls me El and I call him Ry.

"Yeah what?" I asked as he rolled his eyes and smiled showing off his perfect teeth.

"For a good girl you are listening to the teacher really well" he replied as I just glared at him annoying shit.

"Haha very funny so what did I miss?" I asked as he leaves back in his chair.

"Well he wants us to have a sleepover and basically do what friends do but I can't today because I got football and I can't tomorrow because I got racing sorry" he said as I almost forgot he raced but since when did he play football?.

"When did you start football?" I asked with a confused look on my face.

"Im the captain of the team I started ages ago" he replied as I nodded the bad boy is the captain of the football team wow.

"Okay sorry not really into all that running with a ball" I said as he laughed before he pulled something out of Phil pocket and put it on my desk.

"Have you heard of this?" He asked as I opened the paper to see Forestford500 on it I looked at him and nodded.

"Yeah my friend told me about it it's cool hey a big race held here in this little town" I said as he nodded and I passed the note back to him as he looked at it then at me.

"You know I really wanted to race in this but you need four people and me being the "bad boy" I don't have a lot of people asking me to be on their team but I guess I can watch the racers" he said as something clicked in my head I think I found our fifth member.

"I have an idea for our fifth member" I said as they all looked at me and I smiled.

"Who?" Jasper asked.

"Ryder Phillips" I said as they all looked at me like I just grew two heads.

"What?" I asked.

"The bad boy as our fifth member your kidding right?" Ivy asked as I shook my head.

"Guys you don't understand everyone else won't want to be on our team because they hate us and they want to beat us or not be on our team so we can't race. But Ryder might be our only chance at entering the race and kicking that idiots ass" I said as they looked at each other before looking back at me.

"What makes you think he won't say no?" Jasper asked as I shrugged.

"Nothing it's a 50/50 chance that he will say no or yes" I replied as we all looked over to see Ryder talking to his friends before I looked back at the others.

"We'll ask him tomorrow at the race" Wyatt replied as I smiled this might be our shot into the big race it would just mean we would need to be extra careful at keeping our secret hidden.
