Chap 10: practicing

Eleanor's POV:
I walked out of the shower and put on my undergarments before chucking on my leggings and a white tank top as I chucked on my racing suit and boots before I grabbed my phone and walked down to my brothers room before I knocked on the door.

"Coming" I heard Xzavier say as I heard footsteps before his door opened and he looked at me.

"Hey sis you going racing?" He asked as I smiled.

"Close I'm going to practice with the guys and Ryder" I replied as he nodded.

"Have fun" he said smiling.

"I will do you wanna come watch?" I asked.

"Na I've got things to do but I'll come watch your big race" he said as I smiled and nodded.

"Okay well I'm off" I said giving him a hug.

"Okay I'll see you when you get back" he said as I nodded and I walked down to see dad with my car keys in his hands.

"You ready to get practinceing?" He asked smiling as I smiled back.

"Yes let's go" I said as he laughed and threw me my keys as I ran to my car and put in my gloves and helmet. I hopped in my car as dad hopped in the passenger side and I began to drive to the abandoned race track where we were meeting everyone. I was excited to finally be practing for the big race and actually be in the race. Soon I pulled up too see everyone already there as I smiled and my dad and both hopped out before we walked over to everyone. It was kinda funny since Ryder was the only one not in racing gear and just in his normal bad boy clothes.

"Who ready to drive their baby like never before?" My dad asked as we all said yes and he smiled.

"Then let's get started shall we" he said as we began. Dad taught us how to drift which was easy. He taught us the basics of racing before he started to get harder and it took us more try's to get it especially Ryder since he has never been on this track before because when Ivy talked to him at the race he had no idea what she was talking about so she had to tell him the street and yeah.

This track was a hard track for beginners which made it hard for us to learn on but we have gotten better each day just racing on this track. My dad use to train on this track and race on it before it got abandoned a long time ago before I started racing. Soon we got to have a little break and We all sat on a grass patch.

"Your getting really good Ryder" Ivy said as Ryder smiled before taking a sip of his drink.

"Thanks so how did you guys hear of this track?" He asked as I spoke up.

"We were driving around looking for somewhere to train and we ran across this place" I said as he nodded.

"It's a hard track" he said as we agreeded.

"Yeah but if you keep practicing and driving on this track it doesn't become as hard" Wyatt said as he nodded.

"I can't believe Eleanor's dad is the famous Paul Hudson like how did you get to meet him?" Ryder asked.

"I'm friends with Eleanor's brother and I met their dad and asked if he could help us race" Wyatt said as he nodded.

"He's a nice guy" Ryder said as we nodded yeah my dad was nice he was a great guy. Soon we were called back to see how fast each of us could do the track. First up was Wyatt and we watched him fly threw the track taking all the turns and drifts. Then he flew past the finish line and it was Ivy's turn then Jaspers then Ryders then mine. I hopped in my car and drove to the starting line as saw the light go red, red,red then green and I pushed my foot down on the petal and was off zooming through the track. I was going around the bends and drifting at the right time I took the sharp turn perfectly and zoomed down the home run strip before my car came to a stop and I hopped out and everyone smiled.

"Well done guys you did very well if you race like that it will be a real competitive race" dad said as we smiled but you couldn't see it because of our helmets.

"Well that's it for today you can go home now or keep trying if you want" he said as we all said bye to each other and everyone drove off except of Ryder who stayed behind as I drove back home.

"You've picked a good fifth member" dad said as I nodded.

"Thanks" I said as dad looked at me and I could see him threw the corner of my eyes.

"And he's a good looking lad" he said as I kept my eyes on the road.

"DAD" I said as he laughed.

"What I'm just saying" he said as I laughed. Soon we pulled up at home and I said hi to mom before I walked up to my room and took of my racing gear and fell on my bed. Before I thought about today. Soon we called for dinner and we are before cleaning up our mess then I went to change into my pjs and I hopped in bed before falling asleep.
