Got To Go. Its Date Night :)

Karkat

UGH.

He threw his phone down and tried to fall back asleep. He tossed and turned but when he checked the clock it was only 9 pm. He groaned and stumbled down the stairs to see a note from Kankri. It read Can you go get groceries?  Karkat cursed under his breath, but pulled on his shoes and walked out the door. He went to check his phone to see grocery stores near him but realized he had left it at the house.

"Damn it, Karkat..." He muttered, shoving his hands in his pockets. He wandered for a bit, looking for a convenience store. He finally stopped in front of a 24-hour corner store. He pushed open the door, hearing a bell ring in the inside of the store. He walked the aisles, checking for troll food.

"Looking for something?"

He turned around to see an employee, a female troll with a cane and sunglasses. Her nametag read Terezi.

"You have troll food here?" He asked.

She nodded and gestured for him to follow her. She strode down the aisle toward the back. He followed her, still cursing himself for forgetting his phone. She opened the door to the storage and flicked on the lights.

"We keep it in the back, it starts to stink after some time." She said with a grin. He nodded and pulled a few packets from the shelf.

"Thanks for this."

"Sure, Karkat."

He started to walk away then stopped and looked at her. "How do you know my name?"

She smirked. "Wow, you really don't remember me, Karkat?"

He shook his head, a little unsettled.

"We dated a few years back!"

He was still blanking but he said, "Oh yeah that Terezi..."

"Didn't recognize me with the glasses?"

"That must have been it yeah."

She sat down on a bench and patted the seat next to her for Karkat. He wanted nothing more than to go home, but he sat down with an internal sigh.

"Blinded by a car crash." She said with a little laugh. "Almost a year ago."

"I'm sorry."

"No need to be," She said, waving her hand. "I'm much better off."

He just looked down. Before he was about to excuse himself-

"Want to go out?"

He blinked and looked at her. "What?"

"On a date?"

"Uh..."

"Great! Tomorrow, 7 at the mall?"

"Um."

"See you than!"

She walked out, leaving Karkat gaping after her.
