Where he was running to? Jason had no clue. He just knew that he had to get out of there. The sight of Arnold with his mouth open and tears running down his eyes stunned Jason for some reason. He kept running faster and faster, trying to get the image out of his head. He approached a stop sign and made a right. Then he approached another stop sign and kept running straight, Jason had no clue where he was going. He wasn't out of breath though, even though he had been running for a few minutes, he wasn't feeling weary or tired. His phone then began ringing, it was Christy. He ignored it and continued to run. A few seconds later his phone rang again, it was Christy. Jason ignored it and continued to run. A few seconds later his phone began to ring again. Jason's feet started to feel tired from running, he decided to slow down and text Christy. As he took his phone out of his pocket and looked at the screen, he realized that it wasn't Christy calling him, it was his father. Jason came to a standstill and quickly picked up the phone.
"Oldhead, wassup?" He said.
"Jason, please don't forget to pick up your mother's medicine when you come tonight." Mohammed said.
Jason almost forgot. He told his father earlier that he was going to pick up his mother's Trazodome from the local CVS.
"I got you, I won't forget." Jason said while trying to catch his breath.
"Are you okay son? Why are you breathing so hard?" Mohammed asked.
Jason knew that if he told his father that he was running away from Christy because she was high and tried to seduce him, his feelings would change for her. Right now his father really liked Christy and thought highly of her. He didn't want that to change.
"Just running to the store to buy something for Christy before she wake up." Jason said,
"Okay. Don't forget to tell her to call me when she wake up." Mohammed said.
"I gotchu." Jason said.
"Also Cecilia wanted for you to ask Christy to come over tomorrow so she can do something with her hair." Mohammed said.
"Ard." Jason said.
Mohammed then hung up. Jason removed the phone from his ears and looked at it. There were so many things that had to be done with Christy. He knew he couldn't run away, he had to go back. But he was finding it hard to do for some reason. He just couldn't get the image of Arnold weeping out of his head. Jason turned around and started to head back. As he approached the same stop sign that he ran past a few minutes ago his phone began to vibrate in his pocket. He thought maybe it was his father calling him back to ask him to do another thing, but as he took the phone from out his pocket and looked at the screen he realized that it wasn't him calling, it was Christy.
"Yeah?" Jason picked up and answered.
"Why did you leave? Why are you running? Why are..." Christy began to say.
"Why are you crazy?" Jason cut her off and said.
"Bae please... I was just trying to make you feel good, I'm sorry. Can you please come back?"
"No." Jason said.
"I'm already home." He added.
"Bae omg... Why?" She said.
"Because... You're CRAZY!" Jason said.
"You tried to rape me."
Christy gave a soft snicker. "Bae no I didn't."
"I'm not that type of girl."
"What typa girl are you then?"
"Bae I'ma good girl!"
