Izuku didn't know, so he just continued petting him and listening to the steady purr coming from this random stranger kind of in his house. He wasn't really in it as he was still outside, but this was still his house. A balcony, but nonetheless it was Izuku's property. As this dude was on it..
S h o u l d h e c a l l t h e p o l i c e ?
Maybe All Might?? Or maybe his mom, she'd probably know what to do... though at the moment she was out shopping. That and his phone was on his desk inside. He'd have to get up to get it and now he was about 60% sure his hand was the only reason this cat-boy was calm, and getting up would test that theory. Which was a big no no to him at the moment.
Izuku was very awkward though he was trying to calm himself with the soft, silky feel of the reason he was bein stressed out's ears and hair.
This was fiiiiiine-
"..s..so.." Izuku tried after a few more minutes. Maybe two or three. Though this time really felt like an hour to him.
The stranger's ears twitched as he made a weird cat noise of displeasure at him speaking. Like a merowl. It made Izuku's heart swell from how cute it sounded but his head explode as this kid was literally a fucking cat-
Could he even talk!?
Why was he in his house??
Who was this kid?
Well, he looked somewhat familiar but at the moment Izuku really couldn't think it over properly to come up with a solid answer.
What if a cat possessed him at that's why he-!?
"St..op.. talking.." He grumbled with a slight hiss, shifting and pressed his head further into Izuku's hand which made the greenet flinch, free hand flying up to cover his mouth. He had been mumbling that, hadn't he? At least his words put the first question to rest.
"..w..what's your name??" Izuku tried to get at least one answer, asking his through his fingers, though he got a half of one as a tired mumble came from him.
"..to..do."
"Wh-what'd you say?" He shifted uncomfortably in his spot, getting an even quieter murmur in response. "Um.."
Well.. this 'Todo' yawned, turning to the side and curled his body a bit, hugging his knees loosely to his chest while simultaneously pulling them out of the shade starting to grow as the sun was starting it's journey from the center of the sky to very slowly setting.
The new angle required Izuku to switched angles as it was uncomfortable on his previous wrist.
"..would you... like to come inside?" This could be a very big mistake, but slowly Izuku was getting a soft spot for him. If anything Todo looking like a kitten. "We have a kotatsu you can lay under.."
{Quick a/n, a Kotatsu is a table with a blanket over the sides that heats up, they're commonly found in Japanese households}
The cat-boy perked up- or at least his tail did, slowly it rose from the ground to flick around. Did that mean he was happy? Or...
Todo's head followed, looking at Izuku and mutely nodded. Izuku offered a nervous smile and stood quickly, already shifting from foot to foot as he watched the other stand, eyes widening ever so slightly when he saw even as Todo stood while still being a bit slouched, he was still a couple inches taller.
Izuku swallowed thickly and opened the door, leading Todo to the living room and showed him the kotatsu which he almost dove under. Izuku smiled blankly as he saw him disappear before his head popped back out, blanket resting over his neck. His expression was blissed, Izuku couldn't help but eye the fact his nose was a bit more like a cat's than a human's too. Well... at least he was happy? Maybe if he was pleased, the cat wouldn't decide to go feral on him...
"Would you.. like any snacks?" Izuku asked over the purr that was escaping Todo, mind set sticking with the idea that nothing would go wrong if he was nice. Not only that but he was just naturally kind hearted.
Once more the boy licked his lips before opening his mismatched eyes and hummed out a vague sound. Was that a yes..? A no?
Or maybe he was thirsty, maybe that's why he kept having to lick his lips.
"H-how about some water?"
He got a nod this time.
Izuku sped off, grabbing his phone too and sent a text to his mom explaining what was happening and a slight plead for help before he returned to Todo with a water bottle he hadn't opened yet from his room. He handed it to the cat-boy, arms popping out from the kotatsu to take it. Izuku caught sight of his hand again, noting how it was basically a mixture between a human hand and a cat's furry toe beans..
Todo fiddled with the cap for a few seconds before it cracked open and he sniffed the water, looking a bit displeased and set it aside with out taking a drink.
"Um.." Izuku panicked internally, did he mess up? He hadn't opened the water.. what was wrong with it??
Izuku cautiously approached and took the water and sniffed it himself. Was it sour or something? It smelt fine..
Then he thought of one thing, maybe it was because it wasn't cold water? Or maybe-
Izuku caught Todo scowling at him and pursed his lips, realizing he had been mumbling again. "S-sorry..!"He didn't get a response as the other's mismatched eyes closed fully again.
Izuku gulped and walked to the kitchen, grabbing a glass cup and filled it up with cold water, walking back to Todo.
"U-Um. here?"
The cat boy opened his eyes again and took the cup after a moment, this time taking a sip without a problem. So it was because it wasn't cold...
Izuku felt his phone vibrate and turned away to answer it in the other room. "Mom! Um... he's still here and I don't know what to do.."
