Oh no, Neko!

Hydration is important!

Izuku did note the fact Todoroki had ice abilities, so he could defiantly just... make his water cold himself... but hey, he got it. Todoroki didn't seem to have much motivation in school, the most he'd do is shuffle closer to Izuku to lay on him or clean himself in class. Just like, whaddya know? A cat.

So the least Izuku could do was get him water.

Plus, it's not that he exactly felt responsible for taking care of him... but..

 

Hydration was just important..

 

And them right there were just facts. Nothing more to it.

 

So Izuku was fine for running out into the hall to get Todoroki a cold water bottle from the vending machine between classes. Sure it costed a bit but a dollar wasn't too much.

He'd always make sure the halfie at least drank half of it, petting his head once he was done.

People in the class looked at them funny, Momo finding it hilarious.

By the end of the day, everyone was sure Todoroki was Izuku's cat.

Izuku woke Todoroki up after the final bell. "Todoroki, we have to go home.."

The Neko grumbled a few words under his breath and lifted his head which had been flat on his desk, rubbing his nose gently before glancing at Izuku sleepily. He then looked around to see what was happening as he really didn't actually hear Izuku, seeing people were packing up.

He then noticed Izuku had started getting the halfie's stuff together for him and felt a bit bad, standing and swatted his hand away from his binder and a notebook neatly stacked on top, pencil on top of the two. He got his side bag, carefully but somewhat sloppily putting them in.

Then he swung it over a shoulder, glancing at Izuku again who was smiling proudly. Oddly this made Todoroki happy, expression not changing but his tail swayed around as if it was wagging, just slowly. He didn't have much energy after all.

His ears were relaxed as he assumed position next to Izuku, the greenet grinning as he felt that tail curl around his shin again, trailing a step forward it fell a little back down to his ankle like normal.

"So Todoroki, what did you think of the first day? Our new teachers kinda scary but you seemed to handle him pretty well! Oh and the food was really good too huh? There's a ton of nice people like you, Uraraka, Iida, and Momo! I wasn't even expecting you to be there! I'm surprised since I never saw you at the entrance exam, Aizawa-Sensei did say you came in through recommendations with Momo, what's that about? Is it because you come from a pro hero's family? Or maybe because you're really strong! You saved me from Kacchan! No one steps in Kacchan's way because they normally get hurt, but now he'll be more mean to you, and me- but that's normal by now- did you enjoy the food? Hey- I'm kinda hungry! Do you wanna get a snack from the mall-? That is if you can or want I wouldn't be surprised if you're too tired-" Izuku rambled, going from school to food.

Todoroki just nodded along to his words, shrugging at the end. "Hm.. sounds fun.."

"You sure you're not too tired-? I mean you could always-" Todoroki cut Izuku off before he went on again.

"Im fine.."

"You promise to drink some water when we get there? I'll try and find a vending machine to buy something cold for you but if we need to we can use a water fountain.. our waters are probably kinda warm right now." He looked at Todoroki who merely nodded again.

But Izuku got an interesting thought, humming to himself before blurting out-

"Hey..- since we're going to the mall, want to stop by the pet store?"
