"Mom.. It's been two weeks since Todoroki came by.." Izuku whimpered slightly, missing his new cat friend. He knew he had done something wrong...

"I'm sure everything's fine Izuku.. he's probably just busy." His mom smiled sadly to try and comfort him, handing him a mango icecream mochi.

"Busy for two weeks?" He took it and popped it into his mouth, talking with his mouth full which he rarely did but only did when he really needed to rant about something that made him sad, "Two weeks is a long, long time mom.. what if he got hurt? Or if he doesn't like me anymore? What if I annoyed him so much he stopped talking to me..?"

"Izuku hun, it'll be okay." She insisted, "You didn't annoy him, I promise, okay? Schools starting really soon, maybe he's doing something about it. The entrance exam is in two days, shouldn't you be thinking about that..?"

He nodded with a sigh. "I guess.. I just.. miss him."

"Maybe arrange a hang out with Kacchan?" Inko smiled at him, completely unaware of how much Bakugo bullied him. After all Izuku never said anything about it, he never had the heart to worry his mother.

Izuku tensed. "I-I'm good.. really. I don't want to bother Kacchan, he's practicing for UA too, remember?"

"Oh yeah... both of you boys have been so busy.."

Izuku chuckled softly, "We want to be heroes... if you feel lonely, go see auntie Mitsuki!"

"Izuku-"

"Trust me, it's fine. I know how to cook and I'll keep the house clean, so go hang out with her for a day." He smiled, standing, looking down at his mom who stood, even then she was still a tad shorter. Curse these damned short genes...

"Izuku.. are you sure?" She gently asked, "I don't want you to be lonely.."

The greenet grinned and hugged Inko who was getting teary eyed. "I'll be fine mom, go call her right now! I'm sure her and Uncle Masaru will be thrilled to have you."

She hugged him back, sniffling and rubbed her eyes when they pulled away. "My little boy is growing up so fast.."

Izuku smiled happily from this, though he wasn't even done growing yet.. well.. mentally.

Izuku spent the rest of the three days studying from the written portion of the entrance exam and training for the physical too.

The day before his dead line, he met All Might at the beach, uncertainly deciding to ask something that had been on his mind for a bit. "Can I still call you Toshi..?"

The man blinked before laughing. "Sure! Only when I'm in this form though.."

Izuku smiled sheepishly, just assuming it was part of his real name, though was pumped for today. After all.. this was when he was going to get his quirk.

But he was not expecting it to come in the form of a hair.

"Eat... th..that..?" Izuku gaped, terrified.

"You have to digest my dna, this is just the easiest way to do it." The man- in his All Might form explained. the greenet gulped, I...if it was.. ..for a quirk...

The next day came quickly, soon enough he was walking through the front gates of his dream school.

This was it... the start of his new path if he actually did well. he had a quirk!.. man he hoped he didn't see Kacchan... maybe he would see Todoroki?!

At this thought, Izuku's head snapped up as he looked around widely, looking for a head of white and red. Though he tripped as he didn't watch his feet and got so distracted, yelping and squeezed his eyes shut as he waited for impact.. only to realize he froze in mid air, what?

His arms flailed before he heard a voice behind him of a girl. "Sorry! I used my quirk on you.. but it would have been bad luck if you fell right?"

He turned his head to see a brown haired girl pretty close to his face which made him blush deeply, trying to jerk away which was hard to do while floating.

She seemed to notice and pressed her fingers together, all the sudden Izuku fell onto his butt, slightly cringing.

"I'm Ochako Uraraka! My quirk is Zero Gravity." The bubbily girl chirped, holding out a hand for him to take to help himself up. Of course he blushed, grabbing it nervously and hoisted himself up.

Uraraka seemed to eye him a bit before turning away, already pink cheeks tinting a bit more. "G-good luck!"

She quickly scrambled off, leaving Izuku before he could even say his name back...

Throughout the tests and places with large crowds, Izuku was constantly trying to look for his cat friend, never having any luck.

Soon he was heading home with heavy spirits... he only got one robot.. and it wasn't even worth anything... that and Todoroki really just disappeared. He screwed everything up.. He'd never be a hero... He was glad Inko wasn't home when he got back because he couldn't help but lock himself in his room. Totally didn't cry. Didn't. Not at all.
