He protecc, he attacc, but most importantly, he want his attention bacc

Izuku spoke with Momo for the rest of the morning while massaging Todoroki's head, making the girl oddly bewildered.

"What's the big deal..?" He decided to ask, curious on why she always eyed the fact he could easily pet Todoroki.

"..he's very picky.. I can barely pet him." She chuckled, making Izuku's hand pause for a second, green gaze falling down on his head.

As if he was asking, 'Is this true?'

Todoroki didn't actually meet his eyes, hand slowly raising to touch Izuku's wrist to ask him to continue. Izuku's heart clenched as he willed his hand to move more.

Well, this was about the proof he wanted, Momo giggling as he turned rather bashful.

"How did you two meet anyway?" She couldn't help but ponder out loud.

This earned a nervous chuckle from the greenet. "Well..."

He looked down at his cat friend who's ears perked up in alarm, eyes opening finally as his pawish hand tugged on the edge of Izuku's blazer, very clearly a gesture not to say. Though Izuku wasn't too good at reading him yet and was confused into silence from this.

 

However Momo was quite aware with Todoroki's gestures.

 

The tail around his leg meant he was rather attached to this freckled teen, he occasionally did that to Momo's arm or leg too, but it was much rarer. Much less in public. Or in front of anyone he knew personally.

If he was trying to hide something.. how did they meet? She knew Todoroki got in trouble from his dad for sneaking off for a few days and skipping training, maybe that's when they met? But it wasn't like Todoroki had any social skills..

She was about to raise a brow and call the haflie out on it but was interrupted as the door slid open roughly and an angry blond walked through, Todoroki jumping ever so slightly from the sudden noise and Izuku tensing, jumping more than Todoroki did at seeing who it was.

 

"K-Kacchan!" He squeaked, hands flying up to be held in the air in front of his face a bit. As the blond heard the name only an annoying nerd called him, his eyes snapped over with a piercing glare.

He snarled, eyes narrowing with utter hate. "Fuckin' Deku.."

Bakugo stomped over to the greenet, rolling up his sleeve a bit as his hand was held in a claw, explosions crackling in his palm. Izuku didn't even move, arms merely flinching up more so he could hide behind them. With all the years of abuse the pomeranian gave him, he knew it was smarter not to run. Things really wouldn't be different this year, huh? Izuku would just get pushed around like always..

Though there was the cringe worthy noise of what sounded like nails on a chalk board as Todoroki quickly stood, chair legs scratching the floor loudly.

There wasn't even a second to process what the cat-boy was doing before he grabbed Bakugo's wrist, yanked it down to the side so he lost balance, tripping him by swiping a foot under the pyro's feet, then promptly freezing him to the floor. Izuku was gaping at the sign of ice, what was that?!

Bakugo growled even louder. "What the fuck half n' half bastard?!"

 

Todoroki paused, eyes glancing around as everyone was looking at them and calmly sat back down, looking off to the side thinking he did something wrong when he defended Izuku. He saw a threat and didn't like it.. so..

"Th..thank you Todoroki..." Izuku muttered in a feverish tone which made him perk up slightly, giving him a slight nod, tail twitching from side to side as it wanted to attach to Izuku again but he wasn't going to yet as there were still quite a few people staring back at them.

  

  

Todoroki really hated attention..

  

  

He flinched as the blonde started yelling again, "How the fuck did you get into UA stupid quirkless Deku!?"

At this some heads turned to Izuku who was chewing on his lip nervously. "K-Kacchan I have a quirk.. it came in late.."

"Fucking bullshit."

"I-it's true!" The greenet whined a little, surprisingly the tall person with glasses and blue hair came over with.. chopping hands.. and a stern look.

"He does have a quirk! You have no business yelling at him." He backed Izuku up which slightly surprised him, he quickly turned to face the greenet, hands also facing him... "Also! I greatly apologize for the way I treated you at the exam. I was too quick to assume and I hope we can become friends.."

Izuku gaped slightly, nodding numbly. "U-Um- y-yeah, uhm.. uh.. I-it's fine! I-I... uh.. it's fine!"

  

He wasn't even sure what to say to that. He wanted to be friends.. he didn't think Izuku was weird? Annoying? He wanted to be friends?

 

"I am Tenya Iida, pleasure to meet you.." He trailed off slightly, looking to Izuku to fill in the gap, it took him a second to realize this.

"O-Oh! I-Izuku Midoriya!"

"..Midoriya-kun." Iida finished with a smile, glancing at Todoroki now that he finished with that.

"And you! You should not use your quirk on other's in the class!"

"Say that to him." Todoroki sighed, pointing at Bakugo who was practically steaming with rage, the ice around him turning an off yellowish orange before exploding, Izuku yelping and stepped further behind the haflie. His tail felt around blindly before looping around his ankle again since the greenet was close enough.

"T-Todoroki was protecting me Iida-kun.." Izuku said meekly at the feeling of his tail, if anything comforted by it.

Bakugo sprung up with a pissed glare. "Tch.. fucking useless Deku.. wont be surprised if you get expelled for not being able to do anything."

 

The greenet swallowed thickly as he stomped away and sat himself down beside the window, staring out it grumpily.

Izuku realized he wasn't breathing and exhaled in relief as he left, Iida's face twisted in offense as he went to go yell at Bakugo for his words, but Izuku quickly stepped forward to catch his wrist. "Don't-.. theres not much of a point.."

Todoroki frowned, also upset. "But he said-"

"It's not the worse he's done.. at least he didn't hit me again.." Izuku sighed softly, hugging himself.

"He's hit you?" Momo gasped worriedly, but Izuku just smiled.

"I'm fine.."

 

The three were clearly trying to argue but got interrupted by a head of brown hair that popped into their small square of people, "Hey, arm snapper!"

"A-arm snapper..?" Izuku blanched warily, realizing she meant him.

"W-well I never caught your name, heh.." She chuckled sheepishly, "But I couldn't stop thinking about you and how you saved me! Thank you!"

Izuku blushed, she couldn't stop thinking about him..? He was not used to this..

 

By now most of the class was there, Todoroki sourly resting his head back onto his desk as no one paid attention to him...

 

 

Why was no one giving him any attention..?
