Ilang araw ko ng napapansin na wala sa sarili si Edwin. Malalim ang iniisip nito at palaging tulala. Nagsimula lang naman iyon the day after we both watched the comeback release of Blackpink.

Edwin stood. "Is loving my family counted?"

"Romantically." And Ms. Emma even throw me a teasing smile and look.

"And what happened?" Curious na tanong ng professor namin.

Edwin shrugged before answering flatly. "Tragedy"

Ms. Emma motioned me to stand up and so I did. Samantalang si Edwin naman ay bumalik sa prenteng pagkakaupo niya.

"Ikaw Ms. Sevilla, let's say, you need to choose between mahal ka or mahal mo. Sinong pipiliin mo?"

I smiled nonchalantly. "Mahal ako."

"Why so?"

"Because it is really hard to reciprocate someone's feeling. Its a matter of time and adjustment. But giving our selves the love we deserve is one of the priceless things on earth. Who knows, maybe that someone who keeps on pursuing you is your destiny. But---"

Nabitin sa ere ang mga salita na kasunod ng paliwanag at sagot ko nang magsalita si Denisse. She didn't mind if I am on the middle of my statement but her idea is to interrupt me. Well, kung dati pinapalampas ko ang rudeness niya ngayon I dont care about her. Nagkamali siya ng piniling oras para kalabanin ako.

I will take all the chances to be with him no matter what the costs. I will chase him and made him realized that I am more worthy than the one he keeps loving. That I am more capable of loving and taking good care of him. And als----"

"Then you're a hypocrite." I cut her off too. Batid kong natigilan ang mga nakikinig sa amin. Ramdam ko din ang pagtitig sa akin ng katabi ko pero wala akong pakielam. Gusto niya ng bastusan? I'll give it to her. "Huwag mong ipinagsisiksikan ang sarili mo sa taong ayaw naman sayo. Give yourself some decency and pride. Ang mahalin ang taong nagmamahal sa atin, it is not instant. It is appreciation."

I narrowed my stares to her. "And what did you just say? Chase him and prove him you are much better than the one he is chasing. Bakit mo sasayangin ang oras ng buhay mo kakahabol sa taong hindi naman tumigil sa kakahabol sa taong gusto niya? You will just end up like a lost dog. Walang masama na mahalin natin pabalik ang mga taong minamahal tayo. Ang masama ay pinapaasa natin sila na may katugon ang nararamdaman nila kahit wala naman."
