~ just a quick heads up:
I needed to make Lilly younger. I didn't really thought things through when I decided on her age back in Burn my frozen heart, sorry
Instead of ten, she is eight now
I hope that's alright with all of you~Lilly woke up, like every morning for the past three days, with a smile on her face, snuggled up in a comfortable bed.
She rubbed her blurry eyes and stopped, when a sweet smell entered her nose.
Sniffing again, Lilly felt her mouth water, stomach already grumbling.
'What's that?'
A second later Frisk burst in, whiteboard in hand, hair a mess and still wearing her pjs.
*MOM MADE PANCAKES!!!*
It took Lilly a while to read- she was still learning after all-, but once she deciphered Frisks messy handwriting, she sat up quickly and climbed out of bed.
"I never had pancakes!", the girl replied and jumped a little. "Are they really as good as people say?"
Frisk nodded and grabbed the younger girls hand, pulling her over to the kitchen, both giggling excitedly.
Toriel made something different for breakfast every morning- yesterday they even had muffins!
They had been sweet and where stuffed with fruits that Lilly had never tasted before.
When they reached the doorway, Frisk pit a finger over her mouth, signaling Lilly to stay quiet and they- more or less successfully- sneaked up behind Toriel.
More or less, because a second later, Toriel turned around to give them a stern look, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes.
"If you two are trying to scare someone, you should not giggle as much, my dears."
Frisk grinned and made the weird handmotions again that Lilly didn't really understood, to which Toriel just shook her head and sent both of them to the kitchen table, announcing the pancakes would be finished soon.
Once they were seated, Lilly sent the slightly older girl a glance, her head lying on crossed arms, the sweet smell stronger in her nose.
"Can Maya understand you?", she eventually asked slowly.
Friak nodded, before laughing and writing something down on the whiteboard.
*She tries, but isn't that good :D*
"Can.. Can you show me?", she asked next, wanting to impress her bigger sister- and be able to communicate better with Frisk.
They were friends after all!
Friends..
That word still made her smile and feel all warm inside.
She never had a friend before- at least none that wasn't an animal.
Frisk nodded excited and wriggled around until she faced Lilly completely, sitting cross legged on the chair.
Lilly did the same, because who knows? Maybe it was easier to learn that way?
Frisk did it, so it must be important.
The next few minutes were spent with Frisk showing her different signs (that's what those handmotions were called!) and eventually explaining that it was just easier to use a sign for someone than spelling out their name.
Then she showed her the sign for a lily, the flowers, and the actual Lilly couldn't help but stare.
That looked really pretty!
