Max is coming.

Max is coming.

Max is coming.

I'm running around my house, checking to make sure everything's clean, and I'm getting tired.

I've spent all day cleaning, vacuuming, wiping down countertops, dusting, the whole 9-yard, but now I'm tired.

I dash to my couch like a child on Christmas morning and sit down. I throw my feet up on the Ottoman and sigh.

"This is great..." I say, staring up at the ceiling.

Of course, something had to ruin it.

But that something was a doorbell, so I guess it was ok.

Because Max was here.

I jump up and bolt to the door.

I pull it open and meet... Green eyes. Not gold.

"Casey!" Brooke exclaims, stepping forward to wrap her arms around my waist.

I hesitantly hug her back. "Um... where's Max?"

"Max had to work today, but he just left work, so he'll be here in like... 15 minutes." Iris says as her sister steps away. I hug Iris.

"Well come in, can I get you something to drink?" I ask, swinging the door back to let them inside.

"A beer?" Brooke asks.

I smirk.

"Uh huh, yeah sure." I say, walking back to my kitchen. "Can I get you something virgin to drink." I amend.

"A daiquiri?" Iris asks and I smile at her.

"You take after your brother; he loves sweet drinks." I say with a sigh.

I turn around and grab some mix from the freezer. I throw it into a blender and turn back to the girls.

"So..." I say. "What have you guys done today?"

"We went to the beach all day." Iris exclaims as I turn back around to empty the blender into 3 glasses.

I hand one to each of the girls and keep one for myself.

"Cheers." I say and we tap glasses.

I take a gulp as Brooke starts talking.

"We spent the whole day at the beach, and we had so much fun!"

I lick my lips. "What'd you do?"

"Well we ran into some school friends and we tanned and swam in the water." Brooke says, taking a break to drink her own daiquiri. "Oh, and there was a guy! And a girl." She adds the last part with an elbow to her sister's ribs.

"You're not supposed to tell anyone!" Iris says immediately and punches Brooke in the arm.

"Wait..." I step in before this can dissolve into something worse.

"Brooke, don't just out your sister." I say, pointing at Brooke.

"Iris, don't punch your sister, she loves you." I say, pointing at Iris. "And there's no reason to be nervous about telling people. I'm gay, your brother's gay, Addison's bi, Kimberly's a lesbian, Brielle's bi. We won't judge you and if people do... well they don't matter now do they?"

"No... they don't." Iris sighs.

"Great! But seriously Brooke, don't out your sister. That's her choice don't take it from her." I say.

Brooke nods. "Sorry." She mumbles.

"Now... will you guys do me a favor?" I ask.

Both their gazes snap to mine.
