"Do I have to? I already gave you people my statement!" I whine, tired and irritable.
The brown-haired cop gives me a friendly smile that doesn't quite reach her dark, dark gray eyes. "I just want to make sure, for the record."
Detective Delilah. That's what she introduced herself as.
"For the record." I say at the same time with an annoyed sigh. "Fine. Casey, that's Casey Isles, and I left the apartment around eleven thirty this morning. He stole my keys and locked my door before putting them back. I put them in the jean shorts you already collected." That was true, they had made us change our clothes so they could examine them.
It was weird but I presumed it was protocol. I had to give Casey a pair of my shorts and his sweatshirt back; the one that I had in the back of my closet. The sweatshirt fit him perfectly, but the shorts didn't. They barely reach his mid-thigh and holy shit he looks absolute amazeballs.
But I've already been distracted by him, I need to focus! "We drove for about ten minutes; I believe as I was still wearing the blindfold." I say and Detective Delilah stops me.
"Was it this blindfold?" She asks and holds up the blindfold.
I nod before realizing it needs to be a verbal answer.
For the record.
"Yes, it is."
"And why were you blindfolded, were you in danger?" She asks.
"No, no nothing like that. My... friend, Casey Isles, is kind of a dork. He blindfolded me so I wouldn't know where we were going on our date. We went into the woods about twenty minutes from here, I believe other officers were already dispatched to there, and we walked for ten minutes to a quiet spot on a cliff over-looking the town. We were there for maybe ten minutes and then we drove home as it was going to rain. We got on the elevator as an elderly couple got off. We rode the elevator up here and ran into a group of six or so college aged boys. No, I wouldn't be able to pick them out of the crowd."
Delilah nods, telling me to continue.
"As we neared the apartment, I got a feeling of unease and dread in my stomach. Casey saw the open door first and told me to stay. He went into the apartment, grabbed the large knife you people already bagged for evidence, and did a sweep of my apartment to be sure that the perp was no longer here. That was when I entered the apartment and stood frozen at the mess."
"We left quickly, not wanting to disturb the crime scene and went into the hallway. Casey Isles called you while I frantically called my sisters to make sure they were alright. They weren't home when we left, they went out with our husky puppy and took him for a long walk, but I wanted to make sure they hadn't come back and gotten hurt."
"Can you think of anyone who might want something from you? Can you think of anything that they might want to have stolen?" Detective Delilah asks.
"N-no. Just our TVs I guess." I stammer and she nods.
"Thank you, that will be all. If you have any other concerns, don't be afraid to call me." She says and hands me a card. Then her face shifts into something apologetic. "You may want to find another place to sleep tonight." She says.
My eyes widen.
Brooke, Iris, and Cooper are with Brielle right now, probably getting "questioned" as well. Where will I stay?
Casey.
I get up and walk over to him.
"Casey can I-"
"Max, we need to-"
We both pause and look at each other.
"You go first."
"You go first."
We smile.
"You go." I say.
"Max, we need to talk about you staying with me." He says and my eyes widen. "Please do. Please stay with me, for your own safety. Let the girls stay where they are and tomorrow, we can come back here and get clothes for them and for you. We can do it week by week if you want. Day by day."
"I was just going to ask if I could spend the night at your house." I mumble and he smiles.
"Great minds think alike."
"So, you don't mind if I spend the night?" I ask and he shakes his head.
"I would prefer it. Whoever did this, they still have your keys." He says and my eyes widen.
"Y-yeah I don't want the girls here, it's not safe." I say and Casey nods.
"And that means I don't want you here. Did the detective clear you?" He asks and I nod. "Then let's go to my house and go to bed."
"Ok." I whisper.

This is where the story really starts to kick off and also where I stopped writing...
It's still got like 10 or 20 chapters but I won't be doing double or triple uploads anymore most likely.
If it gets enough attention I might finish it but I want to push all my attention to my other story Kingdom Of Mine for now.
Love you all!
Also I updated this really late today but no one tunes in when they come anyways so... hehe fight me.
