"Masikip ba?" Tanong sa akin ni Chesca."Hmmm, no. It fits perfectly."
I'm so proud of her because she was able to make her dreams come true.
She deserves what she have now. I've seen her struggle and stumble. I was there for her during those times at nariyan din siya palagi para sa akin lalo na noong nangangapa pa lamang ako sa mga alaala ko.
She was fixing something on my gown when the door opened.
"How's my girl?" Gray entered the room and kissed my cheek.
Chesca hissed and rolled her eyes.
"Oh! Andito pala yung girlfriend ko!" Gray exclaimed with a fake shocked face. Mas lalong nairita ang katabi ko.
They're a couple for 8 years already.
"Lumabas ka nga, istorbo ka." Masungit na sabi ni Ches.
"Say what? Hindi mo'ko na-miss? Kahit konti lang?" Gray pouted and now it's my time to roll my eyes. What an eyesore.
Nagtuloy-tuloy na ang lambingan ng dalawa. I don't see the need to catch up with them dahil almost every other day naman kami nagkaka skype noong nasa Massachusetts at New York ako.
I went straight to Chesca's boutique dahil irurush lang ang gown ko. The wedding will happen in 4 days.
Mom called and told me to wait in the building's lobby.
I waited on the lounge and played some games.
My secretary suddenly called me. I'm half the world away from them.
"Hey, Jean. What's up?" Bungad ko.
"Hi, Doc. I just want to inform you that the patient last week wants to ask for your permission to travel." Imporma nito.
"Which patient?"
"Alejandra Montemayor, Doc."
Oh, I suddenly remember the Montemayor cousins. I already discharged their aunt. And about the lunch date, hindi ko sila nasipot dahil sa emergency surgery noon at walang ibang makakapag-perform kundi ako.
I messaged them and they understood.
"Okay, ask for their email so you can send it to them. I'll send the letter to you later." Sagot ko.
I ended the call when I saw my mom's familiar car.
"Hi mom!" I exclaimed and hugged her.
"Ugh, my daughter. Finally, you're back." She hugged me tight and squeezed me.
I am so tired right now and I badly need some rest. Jet lag is no joke okay.
We stayed on Tita Elle's house dahil mamayang gabi ay biyaheng pa-Sta. Catarina naman kami.
