A yawn escaped my lips as I sat on my bed, Darkbolt held a cloth to my bleeding forehead. A grunt of pain filling deep in my throat.
"Lockout, you need to be more careful."
Smirking, a small huff slipping from my lips, "I couldn't prevent this one, sis. Full on head-slam had me down." I hissed deeply as she continued with my injury.
My roommate's ruby orbs dug into my spark, almost as if she had ripped my spark from my chest. "You're smarter than them, and so much stronger. Why the hell are you getting hurt?"
I huffed, shoving myself to my feet, moving my hand so she could no longer tend to me. "Stop pestering sis, I'm fine." I breathed out. "Now, if you will let me be on my way, I have work to get to."
"About that, he needs to see you." My spark skipped a beat.
He needs me for what exactly?
I merged into the offsite laboratory, gazing now at Shockwave's back. Everything was quiet here. It was... intimidating. I caught myself getting caught up in his bulk, gorgeous build. He was tall, dark, and handsome. So very handsome, even if he didn't have a face. I cleared my throat, kicking myself for the romantic thoughts of my Commander.
"You called?"
The mech turned around, his optic on me, I had never felt so... nervous in front of him. At least in a possibly normal situation.
"I did."
"And-"
"I would like you to accompany me on a study mission."
"Excuse me?" Did I hear that properly? He wanted me on a mission with him? A mission not involving any threats? A mission with just the two of... imma die.
"I would like you to accompany me, Lockout."
"Yes." I mean... I wasn't saying no. I couldn't say no to my commanding officer... or the mech I've practically lived with for 4 million years... why weren't we....
Anaheim, California
Lamborghini tires came to a halt at the entrance of The Grand Californian. The doors of the hotel shocked the female driver that stepped out of the vehicle, the Hotel was 6 floors, very wide and fun, it was lodge themed and woodsy. The entrance doors were made up of stained glass. And by the primes, it made her feel... comfortable. For a moment... it felt as if there were no wars to fight.
Her cropped black shirt ruffled in the light breeze. She wore shorts, as well as her ebony hair in waved curls.
That was me. A holoform - a prototype invented by Shockwave when we had arrived here.
"Shall we?"
I gazed down at Shockwave's human hands, nervous to take them. He usually only had a single hand... Golden orbs met with his one blind eye.
I took his hand hesitantly, blushing, we had began to walk toward the doors. I was so quiet.
A frigid rush of wind swept passed me as we stepped into the large hotel, from what Shockwave mentioned, he somehow checked in already. I guess I never imagined that Shockwave would want to study this place of all things. I took it in.
We walked across the lobby and out the doors toward the pool. The children's screams and giggles could be heard as we walked passed.
It reminded me of someone I once cared so dearly about...
"Shockwave," I breathed, tightening the grip on his hand. He hummed, his one brown orb gazing at me.
"Why is it that we came here?"
