I stood on the balcony, cozy strawberry pajamas hugging my body as a breeze ruffled passed. I watched as the fireworks above the castle shot into the starry night sky."Beautiful, isn't it?" Shockwave spoke, standing next to me, resting his arms on the edge of the concrete wall, although, when he said beautiful, he wasn't looking at the sunset. Golden orbs glistened as I continued watching, a soft sigh slipping from my lip. I knew that there was something else though.
Everything was beautiful at this time of night, the stars, the lights of Downtown Disney. It was... something. I hesitated, but I needed to ask Shockwave something, I couldn't help but wonder if he... returned my feelings.
"Commander?" I asked. "What was it you were going to tell me earlier?" The mech tensed, it was enjoyable to see his emotions shine through him, humans didn't hide emotions well. I bit my lip, eyes gleaming up at him. "You don't need to tell me if you don't want to. Just... hear me out."
He sat on a chair, gazing down below at the people rushing to leave the park and get back to their hotels or to the shops before they closed.
"It may seem stupid, and this gives you the full right to think I'm a dumbass... if you want to reject me, you may. But Shockwave... Commander." I breathed so slowly now, so fearfully. To tell a Decepticon your love was like telling a terrorist kind of person that you love them. It was... I paused, taking notice that he gave me his full attention. How am I doing this so... casually?
"I... I..." The mech looked up at me, my nervous position. He tilted his helm. "I really like you, Shockwave. I mean like... I..." I took a breath and played with my hair, biting my lip. "I love you."
"First off," Shockwave stood quickly, crimson brown orb glaring down at me. "Don't call yourself a dumbass." His sudden actions terrified me and I took a step back toward the room. My golden eyes met the ground. "Second, I am not rejecting you. I may be bad at things like this, as I don't know how to feel emotions," He grasped my hand. "I return your feelings."
I was unable to speak, my face flushed a deep red. Shockwave chuckled, pulling me close to him, tears slowly streamed down my face, I wasn't sure if I was happy or not. The mech stroked my cheek, comforting me. He was so gentle, it was almost as if he wasn't the scary scientist I knew for so many years. There were so many occasions that I wished I could have had this. Shockwave then led me back into the room, someone nearby had heard and that made me nervous, I heard a little kid squealing outside.
"Maybe I shouldn't have called you by your real name."
"It's okay." He smiled. "I like when you call me that." I crawled into the cold sheets, Shockwave turned off the lights, crawling into the bed with me. He... really loved me. After all those years he... he actually had fallen in love with me. I mean... I had fallen in love with my commanding officer!
As he pulled me closer to him, I was surprised. I was... impressed that he wanted to sleep with me. I... hadn't slept next to anyone for so long. "You know..." I looked up at him, a hand now gently on his bare chest. His... scarred chest. "I haven't... loved for a long time."
"I know."
I snuggled him, something Decepticons weren't known for. You would think we were so evil that we hated everything or anyone. A lot of Autobots believe we are all monsters, I know Shockwave is a scary, mad scientist, but he was also very gentle when he needed to be. At least... with me.
"Shockwave..." I yawned, letting my arm wrap around him while he held my other.
"It's odd, you're absolutely adorable when you're around me." He purred gently into my ear as I cuddled him. His voice sent chills down my spine, making me both uncomfortable in different ways, and wanting more from him. "You should rest, tomorrow will be a big day." I curled up closer to him, feeling safe and comfortable in his arms, sleep overcoming me as I listened for his sparkbeat, which I faintly could hear. The silence in the room was peaceful, and the sound of our unmatched, gentle breathing could be heard as I began to doze off.
"Shockwave-"
"Shh, just rest." Shockwave stroked my hair, my helm finally clearing of its difficult thinking.
I love you...
Just rest, Lockout...
