My breath hitched in my throat, panic spreading as Bulkhead took me down. Struggling to grab for my blaster, the taste of energon on my tongue. I was to defend the lab, not be defeated.

I snarled, my hands glowing for a moment before Bulkhead was shot across the clearing. Getting onto my feet, panting harshly as Optimus and his Second-in-command came at me. My left leg was busted up, while my right shoulder was out of socket.

Pain flared up as I raised my blaster, shooting at them. My sun yellow optics dimmed, launching myself at the Autobot second-in-command, Ultra Magnus, dropping my blaster. We collided into the ground, an intense slam came to the side of his helm, causing him to K.O.

Attempting a backhand spring, launching myself over Optimus, he struggled beneath my grasp. I was perched on his shoulders, as I was his height, I pulled him against me, strangling him.

"Turn away from this place," I snarled at him. I heard a grunt before I was tossed over the prime's head, I hit the ground roughly, body screaming. I panted, groaning. I was unable to move, every part of my frame endeavoring the afflictions, golden optics flickering with pain.

A loud crash erupted from the clearing, a dark and bulk figure had his cannon aimed for the prime. Like a warrior had made his way to the battle, his beast gave air support. Fire spread. Even though my vision was blurred, I watched the Autobots flee.

The afflictions on my frame worsened, a hiss escaping my throat. "Shockwave..."

On que, the dark mech lifted me into his arms, his voice deep and emotionless, "Soundwave I require a groundbridge."

After a silent astro-second, the swirling green portal appeared. Shockwave's voice interrupted my thoughts, "Why did you not succeed?"

"I am unsure of that as well Commander. I trained before the attack." I let out another groan, knowing that Shockwave was studying me. I gripped him, feeling a sudden warmth once more in my spark. It felt nice to be held...

Once in the medical bay, Shockwave shoved Knockout aside, tending to my wounds. First my leg, then to my shoulder. Sitting up so he could move it back into place.

"Shockwave you need to warn her before-," A loud cry of pain slipped through my lips as Shockwave popped my shoulder back into place. My door-wings lowered, a sigh escaping my lips. "-before you pop it back into place..." Knockout huffed, as Shockwave only ignored him.

"Are you alright, Lockout?" His voice still deep, but slightly more concerned as he spoke. Nodding, I averted my gaze from him.

"Never better." I lied. Everything still hurt. "Now, I should get back to my post before Megatron learns that I failed to protect the laboratory."

"I find your statement to be most illogical." And there it was, my doctor's note.

"No, Shockwave, I find it to be very "logical", so if you will let me be on my way, I shall return to my post. Without interruptions." My optics narrowed as I glared at him, trying to seem intimidating by flattening my door-wings to my back.

He was having none of it, looming over my frame and staring down at me. He didn't say a word, but he would start lecturing me if he was. I could tell by the glow in his optic, that he was glaring at me, his intimidation powerful.

"Lockout-"

I felt a hand wander up my back, I averted my gaze, causing me to attempt to hide the visible enjoyment.

"Shockwave, my words stand-"

"No, they do not."

The tall mech pulled me closer to him, glaring with a deep certainty. I couldn't give in, I want to protect him while he's working...

Wait. I can't protect him... I just showed that I failed.

Shockwave had won...

{Holy shit, this was a good chapter too! I struggled with it for a little, but it turned out really great. I hope you all loved it as much as I did! <3 XD Goodnight my little muffins!}
